I had travelled to Bali many times before but this was my first stay in Seminyak and the Oberoi surpassed all my expectations. I wanted a hotel that was private, quiet, had the feel of a balinese hideaway where I could be left alone to relax. The Oberoi gave me all of this plus more. There is a timelessness about the feel of the hotel and the service from all staff was incredible - the attention to detail and personal service is something that will guarantee my return the next time I visit Bali. Just one word of caution to solo travellers: this is not a hotel to meet other solo travellers (I was the only solo traveller there during my stay) but rather a place to relax, recuperate and reflect.

| "I thought this hotel was great value for money. The location was excellent, right on a lovely part of the beach, walking distance to all of the restaurants yet far enough from all of the craziness. While I thought the hotel food was overpriced and nothing special, there are lots of very good restaurants for a fraction of the price just down the street. Make sure to visit Ku De Ta next store for top notch coctails in a picture perfect setting. Dinner at Breeze at the Samaya was a nice treat. " |

| "All villa resorts give a great feel to a beach holiday and Oberoi comes out tops here. Villas itself are a little old but well maintained and clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. While everyone can better trained you cant fault them for effort which gives the resort its own unique character.All the F&B establishments are situated to achieve maximum beach front atmosphere." |

Some of the features we enjoyed at the Intercontinental Club would have made the Oberoi closer to perfect - complimentary cooked breakfast and all-day snacks and so on.
Will return for sure if we can find a satisfactory 'deal'
