Wow! Having a suite was wonderful. We had space to spread out and a little kitchen which allowed us to eat breakfast and lunch everyday and dinner a couple of times which saved us so much time and money. The shuttle bus was great to get to shopping and the beach. The highlight, however, has to be the big slide. A big hit with my 8-year-old, and I must confess that his Dad and I both enjoyed it, too. Staff are very pleasant and extremely responsive to all requests.
My biggest complaint is that the lighting is extremely dim in the living room and they really need to upgrade it. You can't see to read at night.
I highly recommend this as a wonderful place for families to vacation!!

| "Don't be fooled by the picture. Very sparse, with little character though would be great for families but still a long, long way away from anything!
We were fortunate that after visiting the hotel site that they arranged to move us to their hotel close to the beach and we were very happy with the Paradise Plaza Hotel though location a walk from the action on the beach at night." |

| "We stayed at two room suite. There were bathrooms in each room. I would appreciate if we had larger bathroom. Living was large enough, and the kitchen was enough size with full equipment, but no microwave. There was water machine provided in each room, which supply hot and cold water.
Regard to Pool and garden; the hotel has a big water slide. Our kids really enjoy it. Regard to slide, the only condition was that the person can swim, height wasn't asked. Our 3 years old had enjoyed the slide, but life guard jumped in to the water, when he swims by the dog paddle style. We appreciated his attentiveness.
Regard to location, it is far from the beach, but the hotel has contract with Bonsai cafe and the guest can use the utilities of the cafe, but the hotel had not explained when we checked in, though employee are friendly
There are lots of activities which we can participate such as to visit temple or beach. As again, it was not explained.
There was a shop inside of a hotel but it was small and not convenient, I wished there were a larger convenience shop inside.
We could get delivery from close by MacDonald, with just a few delivery fees.

| "This is the third time I have used this property and once again it was excellent. Great for families on stays of 5-7 days. I like the location out of Sanur as it is a short taxi ride to anywhere you want to visit. I like the safety and security for my family away from the high density tourist areas.
The facility is on a major road between the Airport and Denpassar, away from the areas where large groups pf tourist tend to gather. It is set back from the busy road and is a beautiful oasis, being on a major road means that you can pick-up a taxi anytime day or night. (AVOID: the rooms along the front as they tend to suffer from traffic noise 24 hours!)
The staff are great and the fact that a lot are are the same people that we first met 3 years ago and they are still working and smiling says a lot for the management.
The accommodation was originally built for timeshare and expats on 3 month visa's so the rooms are more like home units than hotel rooms.
Fully equipt kitchen with full size fridge and cooking equipment, Large living /dining room with bar and tiled floors. Bedrooms and living areas have separate airconditioning units. Most units have balconies. There are two pools, the main pool is a giant water feature running through the centre of the complex complete with shallow sections, volleyball net and basketball hoops. The second pool area is 'Camp Splash' specifically for children with deep and shallow areas and a water slide for the bigger kids! 'Campo Splash' also offers DVD's , food and other entertainment for the little ones.
The breakfast buffet and pool/room service is excellent and very reasonable prices. Evening meals in the restaurant are often undersubscibed and therefore average but there are loads of local places to eat in Sanur and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus. The local supermarket (on the shuttle run) has all the things you want to stock up your holiday larder and keep the family happy.
The hotel provides a cost effective laundry service that is priced per bag rather than per item, it is amazing how much you can fit into the bag!
For families, look at the Food and beverage package (US$55 per 2 room apartment) it provides you 50% off the food bill and 30% off the beverages (including Room service) Breakfasts and a few drinks/snacks around the pool make this worth while!
They also have a kids eat free deal for kids under a certain age. (need to check with the hotel for the details)" |

| "The stay at Paradise Plaza Suites was pleasant overall. Staff were friendly and helpful, as is generally the case in Bali.
The room itself was very large, had a 3 bedroom loft apartment. It's good for families, with plenty of space, and three bathrooms as well which definitely made things easier. The decor is somewhat spartan and the room was starting to look worn out in places, but all facilites were still functioning. The kitchen is a little small, but certainly servicable, and a nice bonus if wanting to prepare some meals yourself.
The resort has a decent sized pool, along with a separate pool with waterslide in the Camp Splash area for the children. There's a play area as well, so kids are pretty well taken care of for activities. A self-service laundry is found in the basement if you want to do your own washing (for washing, drying and laundry powder was Rp30,000) or you can have the hotel do a bag of washing for Rp90,000 if you prefer. Irons and ironing boards are only found in the laundry as well, not in the rooms, which is a bit of a hassle.
The biggest downside would be the location. Located on the main Bypass road, it's not really within walking distance of any areas of interest, though an hourly shuttle goes to central Sanur and to Sanur beach. For other sightseeing the location is decent though, as being on the Bypass road means you can quickly head off to other destinations.
Overall, for a large family the Paradise Plaza Suites represents good value for money, especially compared to the cost of booking three separate hotel rooms. If you hire yourself a driver to look after transport (easily found in Sanur for Rp300,000 a day - no doubt less if you really bargained) then the location issues are less relevant and you can really savour the highlights of Bali." |
