"My husband and I stayed at the Payogan for our honeymoon. When we arrived after a very long and tiring flight, we were greeted with a cool fruit drink and a chilled washcloth to refresh ourselves with while we checked into our bungalow. When we arrived at our bungalow, they had lined the path to our door with flowers and there were fresh flowers everywhere in our rooms. And what rooms!!! The place is beautiful with a canopied bed and the most decadent indoor/outoor bathroom that I have ever seen. We also had a nice sized private swimming pool (with a cabana where we ate breakfast), amazing views and COMPLETE PRIVACY. The resort is arranged so that no bungalow can see into any other bungalow's facilities, and the river valley that the bungalow overlooks is owned by the resort and is completely undeveloped. It is a native styled bungalow and there were a few frogs in the outdoor bathing area and there might have been a bat in the room(we never saw it but we heard something at night), but to me that just added to the ambience. The service was polite and discreet and the food was very good, especially the fruit pancakes for breakfast. It was a wonderful experience, and as soon as we can manage it, we would like to return."
