A nice little resort with a lush garden on the black beaches of Pemuteran. Pro: Location and Surroundings, Con: The textile interieur of the room was not very clean.

| "Permuteran is a great place for those that want to relax, sun bathe, dive, snorkel and nothing else.
All hotels are lined up next to each other on the beach while we liked Pondok Sari the most: lush green and very scenic landscaping. The reef project is in front of the hotel.
The bungalows' rooms were a bit dark and the food was only ok. Much restaurant alternatives don't exist. Bars only at the hotels.
The beach -black sand- and hotel are perfect also for (young) kids.
I highly recommend to do day trips especially to Munduk and Lovina where you should stay at least half day.
Check for rain season for both beach and scuba. The latter offers much macro and little big stuff. But Nudibranch, sea horses, barracuda, turtle, lion fish and tons of fish and corral are just magificent!
While Kuta&Co are mainly Australian and Japanese, Permuteranl seemed to be more the central european (Germany, Austria) place.Still a great place to spent vacation;)

| "We travelled with our 3 month old baby. A very relaxing place to stay. Slight gaps in the ceiling are prone to mosquitoes. But the mosquito nets are great. Responsive staff on reception. (Changed our room on request). Sometimes food service was a little slow but the food was generally very good. Breakfast was particularly fine. A lovely location, great gardens, very relaxed, good pool. Excellent Greek restaurant in the hotel next door. Good for divers. I would like to have taken a snorkeling trip to the island nearby, but didn't have time - apparently amazing. Pemuteran is a very relaxed place to go and this is a fine hotel to base yourself in." |
