We stayed in both the standard and deluxe rooms over our 10 night stay at the Restu Bali. The standard rooms are very basic (just beds) and their bathrooms are less than basic (toilet and bath with a shower hose). Even so, the room is fine if you are not a fussy traveler.
The deluxe room on the other hand is fantastic. The room is enormous and is equipped with a fridge, big colour TV and a very good bathroom (it's a proper shower, not just a hose). The hotel only has 4 deluxe rooms so if you don't mind paying a bit extra it's very much worth spending the money and booking as early as possible. The deluxe rooms are also adjoining with each other so it would be perfect for families.
The staff are brilliant and so helpful which made our experience in a different country very easy. The staff are also very helpful when it comes to booking tourist activities, so just ask them and they will organize it for you.
The kitchen/restaurant at the Restu is a 5 out of 10 at best with any Western food but if you want some Indonesian food they do it very well. If you get bored with the hotel's food there is a brilliant place across the road (The kopi pot) and next door.
Overall, the Restu Bali hotel is really worth staying at and i would definitely recommend it. Just remember that it is a 3 star hotel and you get what you pay for.
