Hotel Review posted by yves, France in July 2005

PLEASE, AVOID THIS HOTEL !

1/ this hotel is going bankrupt due to a lack of client (we were 3 peoples at the end of june 2005)
2/ On the map, you write that the hotel is located in the city of Singaraja : that's wrong, it is located 1 hour drive from singaraja !!!! in the village of tamhok ! (so it's between Ahmed and singaraja). And it is impossible to find the real adress, we had to ask to our previous hotel.
3/ this hotel do not respect his 4 stars luxury (due to a lack of client) : no phone in the room (we had to use the cell-phone of the manager) because they did not pay for the line, so could just call the reception, no phone call outside the hotel. Since there is no client, the restaurant of the hotel has no menu : you have 1 aptizer or 1 soup, 1 main curse and 2 deserts.
4/ The hotel is in the midle of nowhere, so you can not find a restaurant in the village, you must eat in the restaurant of the hotel (and so you pay an expensive food without choice !)

"Great location; great service; great cook; great Spa and very nice people!"

"If you are looking for total tranquility and rest(literally getting away from it all),this is the place for you!The hotel grounds and gardens are delightful and the bulidings all very attractive. The rooms are very spacious, tastefully furnished and comfortable.Staff are polite and helpful and the service was very good.No TV in rooms though. Although we liked the restaurant itself, the food was rather boring,over-priced and there was no seafood at all.Breakfast was very good. We found the beach not very inviting as the pebbles are difficult to walk on but it is safe and clean. The location of this hotel is the only negative,2-3 hours from the airport and no other restaurants etc. within walking distance. But one can easily take the local bus from just outside, very cheaply,to nearby villages or hotels and to Singaraja. We would go again!"

"What a fantastic resort! This was the most peaceful, stylish and friendly hotel we encountered on Bali. The staff were all wonderful. The only downside - and don't let this stop you from visiting Jepun Bali! - is the limited menu. It's fine for a few days, but it is a little repetitive. Enjoy!"

"Oh wow,,, We enjoyed our stay soooo much! My boyfriend and I had the best time of our lifes there. We really mean it! It was like our pre-honeymoon and we hope to get our real one at that same place again. It's a very quiet area, but so pretty! Even when it was raining the scenery looked so wonderfull! The service was awsome, just one phonecall and they were there. Breakfast served at the small typical Balinese hut we had in our garden,,, With ocean view,,, So many good memories! We really enjoyed it! Dewi and Wira"
