Our family (2+1 kid,7 yrs) stayed in Tamukami for 9 days, July 23rd-August 1st. We liked the pool area very much: the pool is of course not of olympic size, but deep enough to allow swimming to adults without hitting against walls or bottom, and our daughter enjoyed it endlessly. During our stay most rooms were full, but the pool area with its beutiful bushes and palms planted around made possible for anyone to find peace. Also, big beach towels are provided, fresh every morning. American breakfast was what we booked in advance, but we could have chosen also between Indonesian and continental. Freshly squeezed fruit juices (all kind of tropical fruits!) were our favorite part. Alice's Restaurant at Tamukami is well-known in Sanur - we had dinner there once when there was live music - Sumatran band, food also very good. I would say staff at the restaurant is more professional then at the reception. Our original room was 404: we had minor problems with air-con (it didn't react every time we had pushed buttons), but management decided we should change room although we preferred staying over moving (read:packing) 2 days after arrival. Above all, we were told that we would need to move back again after air-con gets repaired (because guest-to-come especially asked for 402) - 3 days later! Packing again??? We protested and gave few crossed looks to the receptionist that brought the news because she insisted on idea of leaving 402 in 3 days - whether that mattered or not I don't know, but we were left to stay in 402 by the end without any additional word said from either side. Also, we asked for some info at the reception on several occasions: local events, city check-in, trustworthy money-changer, how to find boat to go snorkelling at the reef...and were usually given vague, not-satisfying answers. We also asked whether they knew place to buy USB-cable to move photos from camera to laptop because we hadn't found it neither in Sanur nor in Denpasar: they didn't know, but they went from one guest to another to ask whether someone had it to borrow it to us for half an hour. That's an extra-effort, isn't it? (BTW, you can find USB cable in Hardy's mall) Hotel has one computer with Internet connection, price for using it is 21000 Rp/hour, but if you want to print sth ( example: on-line check-in confirmation) the only way is to send the document to your e-mail and then print it at the reception from another computer (otherwise closed to guests) that has printer installed. Nevertheless, atmosphere at Tamukami is peaceful and familiar, not sterile and crowded as in big Nusa Dua chain hotels, and this plus (together with affordable pricing) outstrengthens all mentioned minuses. We would choose it again!

| "A very good hotel with super friendly staff and a very good restaurant. Four times per week there is live music and while having a superb dinner your evening is complete." |

| "No need to repeat the positive reviews already posted. My wife and 2 year old daughter really enjoyed this place. Ideal if you are seeking the quieter Bali of course...evrything is there or a few steps away. DO try the restaurant as it offers good quality of food (like most places around) and the room service is very good value. We stayed in the bungalow suite." |

| "We spent our honeymoon at the Tamukami hotel in September 08.
We can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
The internet photos of the pool area dont do it justice.
The staff were very friendly and the Belgian owners are real characters.
Our superior room was large with a TV and large bathroom, it was cleaned every day with fresh towels and clean bedding.
The hotel was located on the main road but set back enough where you couldnt hear traffic. It was also opposite a path which lead to a 5 minute walk onto Sanur beach. The area had lots of restaurants and shops including a large supermarket all within walking distance.

| "What a Great Hotel in Sanur, Bali. Wonderful Staff, Amazing Hotel. Everything was Perfect. Rooms were Great, Pool was very beautiful and Sanur is such a nice place, very peaceful and good place to stay in busy Bali and very close to Kuta Beach(Only 30 mins taxi ride). Balinese are amazing people(Must be the Best in the world). I loved Bali, its People and "Tamukami". Go for it, U will not be Disappointed.
When i visit Bali again, i will Definitely stay at Tamukami again as it is "Home Away from Home", and will definitely recommend others to stay at "Tamukami." Thanks Everyone in the hotel for Everything and Good Luck. Ali from New York, USA." |

| "We were delighted with this charming small hotel. The rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. The grounds and pool area were very well kept and beautiful with lots of tropical flowers and greenery.
Although not on the beach it was only a very short walk across the road. Beach towels were provided.
We like trying different restaurants but we ate at AlicesRestaurant in the hotel several times and found it to be excellent. They had live music there several nights a week. We are looking forward to staying there again and would thoroughly recommend it for anyone looking for a small friendly and very reasonablypriced hotal." |
