Would I stay at this location
again:

Absolutely!
I loved most about the hotel but disliked the shower/tub situation in the bathroom very much. If you prefer taking a shower over tub bath then you may not like this. The only shower is a HAND HELD shower which is mounted on wall betwen knee and waist level. When I complained at front desk about this type of shower the MAN at desk had a nasty attitude and then started quoting RACK RATES or LIST PRICES for a room upgrade when the normal rates at all of these hotels is 1/3 to 1/2 of a RACK RATE so the idea of paying a hundred dollars for an upgrade just to get a normal shower seemed ludicrous. I don't mind a shower inside a tub, just one mounted down at water tap level so you have to sit in the tub if you want to take a shower. For those that really want a tub bath this would not be a problem. The breakfast was good, since it was low season they custom made an American Breakfast instead of a Buffet as many hotels include. The pool area and multiple level and waterfall is spectacular. There is a jacuzzi but it is cool water (same temp as pool) but in the heat not a problem. I felt the room size in the cheapest bungalow was small but OK. Taxi fare to airport in Blue Bird with meter was 65,000 Rp. Mar, 2008 about $6.50 to $7.00 USD. 70K Rp by fixed price contracted taxi. Most things were nice but I felt the MAN at desk had a somewhat unaccomodating attitude, unpleasant while the girls there were super nice. Anyone starting to quote RACK RATE prices for an upgrade are taking someone for a complete FOOL. I paid $75 USD per night and he wanted to make me pay $150 to get a NORMAL mounted or free standing shower, as I do not prefer baths!

"Real nice garden and if you don't mind lizard's climbing on the roof of your rooms (which are actually catching mosquito's) and if you don't mind, that it is not very clean in the room and especially in the kitchen, if you don't mind listening to your neighbours TV, as the walls are very thin and if you don't mind, that the hotel spray's poison against insects without warning, it is really a lovely place in the middle of Semenyak. Not expensive and therefore a good price-value hotel. "

"We were extremely happy with all aspects of this accommodation. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had been recommended to stay at this hotel by friends and have thanked them for their recommendation. We are experienced international travellers and stay in a variety of types of accommodation."

"VILLA LUMBUNG WAS VERY PEACEFUL AND TRANQUIL. THE ROOMS WERE VERY SPACIOUS AND CLEAN.THE ONLY THING WE DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE SHOWER. IT WAS HAND HELD. SHOULD HAVE A BRACKET ON THE WALL SO YOU CAN STAND UNDER IT . THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY.A GREAT PLACE TO UNWIND AND RELAX. WOULD DEFINATELY STAY THERE AGAIN. WOULD ALSO USE ASIAROOMS.COM AGAIN TOO. HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. EVEN CHECKED IN EARLY."

"The facilities are good. It is too far from beach and restuarants so you must be prepared to take taxi. The reception staff where not very competent or helpful. I visited with may father. On the second last day I had to leave and left everything paid up. When my father went to leave on the final day the reception tried to charge again for the last night. Luckily my father knew I had paid and ignored them. "

"My friend had recommended me Vila Lumbung and 3 of us shared a Deluxe Bungalow unit. Unfortunately, there were mosquitoes in the rooms and I would have wished for the house keepers to put up the electrical mosquitoe repellent prior to our Check-in. We had to deal with the mosquitoes on the first night stay. The next day I requested for the mosquitoe repellent and the front desk promptly took action to rectify that and also rectified a burst light bulb in the bathroom. I also saw a lizard in the room and I am just not so comfortable sleeping with creepy crawlies in the same room. I also would like them to watch the fruits served on the breakfast buffet as the frequent fruit flies were visiting the fruits more often than the stayers. Otherwise the entire stay was pretty pleasant. I would recommend this to folks who would like to hang out more often around the Seminyak area. "
