| "Good basic accomodation with large rooms in a quiet location, accessible to Ubud centre - once you find the short cuts. View over the rice fields was through a wire fence. Good value as long as you don't want lots of facilities. Other places in Ubud offer more atmosphere." |

| "Villa Chempaka was exactly wat we had hoped it to be. A quiet, relaxed place to stay and yet within a few minutes walk from the town centre. The bungalow felt like a little palace, with a tasty daily breakfast served on the veranda overlooking the paddies. A small but pleasant pool, nice garden and very charming people. We'll certainly come back!

| "Location: nice place in the rice field although there were many mosquitos.
Services: friendly.
Facilities: simple and plain, but clean and comfortable.
Amenities: there's no TV in the room, which enabled us to enjoy rural life.

| "I have stayed at Villa Chempaka 3 times over the past 3 years and am about to make my fourth visit next month. I have stayed all over Bali and now would not stay anywhere else but Chempaka. It is 5 minutes walk from the heart of Ubud and in the middle of rice fields - watching the ducks going about their business from your balcony is wonderful. The staff are terrific and the villas are the best value for money in Bali. I hope to retire there one day - " |
