| "When we went to Gili Air hotel it was in renovation so the gardens were not very pleasant but they were working on it.
We had a pleasant stay and the restaurant is getting better." |

| "This hotel is definitely no value for the rates that they charge. Be prepared to feel unwashed your entire stay as there is no fresh water at all in the bathroom and the sea water does not lather at all.
The location is all right but the beach that the hotel has is nothing much.
Other facilities are average at best.
I would definitely not recommend this place in Gili Air." |

| "As the situation on Lombok was quiet anyways, due to lack of tourists, the stay in the hotel was ok.
Not more, not less. As we found this the "best"hotel on the island we were a little bit disappointed, but it was ok for one night only.
It was obvious that the hotel has had his best time and needs refurbishing badly, espescially the bathroom.
Nor more today's standard." |

| "Offcourse it is only logical at an Island where there is no sweet water that the shower isn`t very powerfull (that is the understatement of the year, I barely saw water coming out!).
But the overall cleanliness was poor poor poor, offcourse it is Indonesia, where clean is something different as in Europe but even with that in mind...I needed to wash my hand when I washed my hands because the knobs were so unbelievably dirty and fat, ieuw! Toilet still showed signs of former hotelguest activities, floor was sticky, no shampoo or anything (hadn`t brought any for this one night trip from Lombok), overall impression: way to expensive in relation to the quality. We did a big part of Java (which is by far the dirtiest Island) so we know what to expect for what price. Those were European prizes for Indonesian quality, while normally it is the other way around. I WOULD do Gili Air again and I wouldn`t want to take this hotel but I guess it has got the most facilities of the Island.
One other thing... the food in the restaurant... HORRIBLE! For me (Inonesian roots) Soto Ayam doesn`t mean unionsoup with noodles and...BREAD!?" |

| "Stayed 5 nights and unfortunately there was no fresh fish for my whole stay.
Paid extra for the deluxe room so I could have a fridge, A/C and TV. Fridge was great, A/C was not working, little more than a fan as it just seemed to blow hot air and was extremely old. Checked with neighbour and hers was the same. TV was OK if you are Italian or German as most programs were foreign.
The higher priced rooms are also in the worst spots. The better value standard rooms have bigger verandas and great views over the pool. They also look much nicer. I was very disappointed that the Hotel was a long way from other restaurants and quite a dark walk, no good for solo travellers.
The staff were nice and the pizza was fantastic.
Beach & snorkelling was a little disappointing and not the island paradise some reviews mention. It's quite rural, with chooks and goats arounds. Small roadways are just dirt, so it's difficult to stay clean. The saltwater showers do little to help and leave you feeling a little sticky. The saltwater pool is mixed with some nasty chemicals. Would recommend this spot for budget travellers who like camping. " |

| "Just a warning. Everything else was great, except it was a real turn off that there was only sea water for bathing in the whole gili air island!" |

| "Hotel provides prompt service most times. It would be great if they could provide complimentary shuttle or port transfers between Gili Air and Bangsal itself. We came back slighly late on one occasion (6pm) and almost had to fork out exorbitant rates a for short ferry ride. The hotel has the means to protect its clients from such unfortunate hassle.
Breakfast was memorable. The homemade banana and pineapple jam were the best i have ever tasted in 24 countries! Such freshness in taste and service remains unsurpassed. However, it would be great if they could provide variation to the breakfast buffet selections. Having the same treat daily proved boring after some time.
Nobody told us the showers were supplied with piped sea water!!! It took a bit of getting used too. Great that the hotel provided fresh water for baths, at a small charge.

| "We were in Gili Air Hotel for the second time, this time for two weeks. It was absolutely fantastic, it is very quiet there, no scooters or cars only the sound of the sea, lots of birds, gekko's, the bells of a cydomo, we will come back!! The staff is very friendly, the service good and the food is great!!" |
