| "The Novotel Lombok is a 4-star hotel with 3-star service. The facilities are quite nice. I especially liked the beach/ocean views from both the restaurant and bar. However, there is no real fitness center, despite what the specs say. There is just an outdoor work-out area, which includes a pull-up bar and basic weights, that the hotel calls a "traditional gym." Although the staff was indeed friendly, the service was oftentimes very slow (at the bar, restaurant, and even the spa). Management presence seemed rare or absent. Also, the restaurant was inconsitent food-wise. Sometimes it was spot-on, while other times it was completely off. However, there aren't too many nice options outside the resort - just mainly very basic options at the nearby Kuta or Gerupuk villages. Our standard room was neat and clean but was quite small and dark (and slightly musty as well, especially on humid days). The bathroom was small as well, with only a standing shower and no tub. So for more space and light, upgrade to a villa if your budget allows." |

| "We spent a week at Novotel Lombok in January 2008. The hotel is clean and nice. We upgraded standart room to bungalow for 30 US/night, much cheaper than book bungalow in advance. The bungalow is spacy, and looks to the sea. This hotel is situated among nice beaches, we found the one 5 min by bike from the hotel, with nobody there. But note: only local vilages are nereby; you will not find supermarkets or restaurants outside, the nearest Kuta is 5 km away, and also like a village. Buy all you need in Mataram in advance." |

| "A place to relax, excellent service the staff were very attentive. The Restaurant offered a wide choice of dishes and quality was excellent. We upgraded to a room with a private garden, pool and relaxing bed and also used the room service menu and dined on our patio. The diving school provided excellent service my wife was the only diver most days of our stay." |
