To first-timers in Lombok ,
I stayed in Puri Mas Boutique with my wife at period of 3 days and found the stay quite enjoyable at the price we are paying. Its really value for money. (standard room with balcony overlooking the sea but its now blocked by the adjacent development. Nonetheless, it doesn't matter as we were there to pick scuba diving with Bagus Divers and did not spend much time in the room. Lovely garden and polite staffs, all out to help. Remember to ask the hotel driver to chauffer you to the Puri Mas village which is 2km away. My wife loved it and fell in love wit the pool at first sight. (You will be greeted with animals, and friendly dogs)
The scuba diving experience was amazing as you get to see turtles off Gili trawangan. One of the most memorable trip of my stay with the kind of budget I have. Do a google search for Bagus divers (Mr Agus Ham) and quote Alp from Singapore and he will be able to assist.
Price: US 37 for std room per night
Scuba : USD 350 per pax

| "The hotel resort is beatiful. It is beachfront and very mother nature like. The location is nice because it is far away from the city and up in the valleys and the taxi drive is short to senggiggi. It costs about 2 U.S dollars for a one way form senggiggi. The food from the restaurant is ok and it is very pricy. The hotel room we took was the cheapest one. It was not that nice (the bathroom was not nice at all)and I think the extra that it costs for the superior villa is definitly worth it. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
A little tip, the public ferry from bali, pendang bai, is very long (8 hours from port to hotel) and for double the price (40 U.S per person), the plane form bali takes half an hour and there is free pick up to the hotel that takes 10 minutes. " |

| "We had the most perfect stay in the Puri Mas Hotel.
The cottages are delightful - none of them the same, and throughout the hotel the atmosphere is truly Indonesian.
We had booked for standard, but were upgraded, and when we stay there again we will pay for a superior room in advance - the accommodation is really good.
The service is excellent - everyone is welcoming, no matter what their job, and the management is excellent.
The restaurant is also wonderful - the cuisine is Indonesian with a modern feel.
The beach has coral, and looks fantastic from the hotel - in fact we spent most of our time at the infinity pool - and there is another smaller pool that would be more suitable for families with small children. While we were there there were people with small children - our children are 14 and just loved the hotel - most visitors had just one or two children or were couples.
The hotel has steps from reception down to the cottages, then a slope down to the restaurant by the sea. Inside the cottages there is a step into the bathroom. I think it would be suitable for older people as well as younger as it's not too big, and our son, who is disabled but on crutches, could easily manage it, but it would be difficult in a wheelchair.
It is outside Senggigi, but the staff call a taxi for you when you need it, and it's not expensive.
If you're even thinking about this hotel, don't think again - it's a boutique hotel which we can only recommend; we wished we had booked for longer, and we can't wait to go there again!!!" |

| "This is an excellent resort for those who wants to just relax and unwind. The beach is good and the sunset view is beautiful. The faciliies in the room is good, there's hot water and good workin air-conditioner. Bathing in their outdoor bathroom is an experience as the sea breeze just chills me up especially in the morning. However there's no television in the rooms, so do plan for a nite activity. " |

| "Puri Mas was recommended by a friend, and we weren't disappointed. The service was exceptional, very friendly and personalised. We loved the beautiful gardens, free shuttle, the pool and oceanfront location. The village pool and day spa was great too. The only drawback was the shower. While it looked great it wasn't that practical. Would be good to put a shower head on it so the water reaches over the ledge. Other than that, its perfect, and great value. We're already planning our return trip next year. " |
