location in center of Sengiggi was good but facilities everywhere showed huge impact of "wear and tear", some investments in this hotel have to be done; the breakfast buffet was alright but the price for this night was not adequate.

| "The room is pretty ok, but given a choice i would take the deluxe suite instead. BIG difference as compared to the Terrace. The hotel is undergoing rectification hence internet access in room is not available hence not suitable for business travellers. The breakfast at the hotel provide limited varieties. Overall, its a good choice for budget travellers." |

| "We stayed in the Santosa Villas & Resort Hotel for four nights and absolutely loved it! We had booked a Terrace room via Asia.com for about EUR27 per night including breakfast. The room was clean but very basic so we decided to have a look at the Villa and the Deluxe room. The Villa was something else (you even have your own pool) but our budget would not really go that far. We upgraded to the Delux room for about EUR65 per night which was the best decision ever. The bathroom is as big as a bedroom and has a huge walk-in shower. You have a seperate dressing room, a massive Queen size bed and big plasma TV. The staff is very helpful and friendly. One evening the whole area had a powercut for about 4 minutes and as an apology they brought us chocolate fudge cake to our room. Lovely! We went to Lombok during Ramadan which did not effect us in any way at all. The good thing was actually that we had the pool to ourselves during the day because during that time its relatively quiet on the Island. We definitely recommend the hotel!" |

| "The hotel was being renovated while we were staying there, the rooms were fine it just looked like more restaurant or bars were being added to the complex which were needed.
There were a lot of business and travel groups staying at the hotel, who were given preference to restaurant areas etc.
The pool is great, but there is no private beach area for this hotel so if you do want to be on the beach you will have to deal with the sellers.

| "The Intan is in a great location, has a wonderful pool/beachside area, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We did enjoy it.
But the hotel is showing its age. It needs to be extensively renovated, to keep its position in the market (eg lights fell off walls, the air conditioners kept on breaking down, the power went off repeatedly, the TV hardly worked, the drainage was unsatisfactory, paint is flaking off the walls). In fact there are extensive renovations underway (some cottages are being refurbished, and new ones are being built) which was not really a problem, but which detracted from the holiday atmosphere a bit.
The other issue was cost. Given how rundown the place was, we thought the cost was too high, relative to other hotels in the area that we visited." |
