| "We completely concur with the other review! This hotel is completely opposite in everyway to what it proposes to be. It is dirty, decrepit and more like a 1 star overall. A backpacker might be ok staying here paying $10 AUD, but with large fresh gecko droppings, uncomfortable bed, ripped threadbare towels, filthy kitchen and rusted dining room chairs, stained tablecloths etc etc, even they may not be happy. Kuta itslef is all about surfing - the beach wasn't nice for swimming, hawkers are relentless and the city is a row of bamboo stalls on the side of the road..definately would not recommend the journey to Kuta." |

| "The grounds to this property are beautiful as it is walled and protects the guest from the pack of dogs and people begging. However, the place is old and unkept. The grounds saved the place for me as there were so many beautiful flowers and the like. As before, there is a MAJOR problem with flies and the restaurant is loaded with them. I had to have my breakfast in the room as did others as the flies are uncontrolable and the staff can not do anything about it. The AC and the power went off at least 20 times. I had power about 5 hours out of the 24 I stayed there. I would NOT recommend Kuta to anyone as it is depressing regarding the animals roaming and their horrible conditions and also the people that live in the small villages around. Peace Corps is GREATLY needed there." |
