| "I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel.The decor and layout of the whole hotel was fantastic, like stepping back into a more elegant age. The amenities and food were great. Service was faultless. This hotel is well worth the money and I for one would definitely stay here again." |

| "A fantastic hotel in every way. The public areas and rooms are tastefully decorated, and the service cannot be faulted. Although the room rates are slightly higher than other hotels in Malang, the Tugu is by far the best hotel in town and it is well worth paying that little bit extra.
All the staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful - nothing at all is too much for them. We particularly enjoyed Alberto's guided tour and the complimentary afternoon tea.
We originally booked for two nights, but enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. We would definitely book again if we are ever in Malang and have no hesitation recommending it to others. " |

| "We booked a superior room however when we got to the hotel, we were shown a variety of rooms and although the one we booked was fine, it was quite small and as the hotel is so unique we decided to splash out and take a suite which was stunning - although it didn't have the beaten tin baths that the cheaper rooms do! From the moment we arrived we were overwhemed by the attentiveness and kindness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they anticipated our every need. All the staff spoke to us whenever they saw us and they always had a smile on their face. When we left, they lined up to wave us off and sent us on our way with a bag of pastries from the hotel's bakery.
The decor is fabulous and the atmosphere created in the different areas of the hotel surpasses anywhere we have ever stayed. It was all brought alive by the 2 tours that we were taken on delving into the nooks and crannies of the hotel. I would certainly recommend a stay here to anyone." |
