| "good facilities but due to lack of beach i would only come here for diving or an absolute rest as there is not much else to do
sanitaion had problems but got quickly sorted
service excellent
but resort good do with some investment in sanitation, creating a beach, maybe some sailing dinghies and so on
only survives by grace of excellent diving school/ centre" |

| "Just stayed at Hotel Santika from the 5th May 2008 - 10th May 2008. I've got to say that the service is FANTASTIC!! They have a cheerful and enthusiastic group of staff that will go all out to meet your request. The shuttle bus to the city is really convenient and apart from that the bus driver even volunteered to send us to our room when we got back. The food is acceptable as long as your expectations are not too high. The rooms are clean and they provide good amenities. Divers would love Thalassa Dive Center which is situated within Santika itself. Make a request of what you hope to see and the dive guides would go all out to find it for you. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Manado. " |

| "Hotel is lost near the sea in vegetation, ... Very quiet and beautiful. There is a good diving center (Thalassa) in the hotel, and all diving spots are within 30 minutes. People are very nice and are always helpful. Rooms are OK, and good value for money. Only caveat is the restaurant, where food is not that great." |

| "Good hotel! Incredible good service! Airport shuttle free and to town shuttle free. Serviceminded hotel, whatever your questions are, they try to help and to give you service!!!
Comfortable quiet rooms, but our toilet lost the water, and a few days later, when we came back to the hotel, in another room, we had the same problem again, that is a pity...
Gardens are well maintained, and it is a nice place to relax, and to swim and to enjoy the beautifull garden...and to enjoy the good services of this hotel!!! If we come back to Manado, and the fact that this hotel is not located in town is not a problem for us, we will certainly choose this hotel again.

| "The hotel room was reasonable for the rate paid, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Another plus point is the free daily transport to and from the city.
There is also an excellent dive centre located at the hotel, with very experienced and helpful guides.

| "We had a very nice stay at the Santika Hotel, the room was nice and the hotel grounds are very beautiful. The main restraunt and the small restraunt on the hill both had great service and food. I went to Santika for the diving and the service provided by the Thallasa dive company was excellent, other than the diving, they organised a car to go into town and a tour to the forrest to see the tiny monkeys and other animals.
I was very pleased with my stay and will recommend the hotel to all my friends." |

| "We were quite satisfied with our stay. The rooms are decent by Indonesian standards and the breakfast satisfactory. Service was pretty decent as well. The issues we had were more with Manado as a whole. The roads are narrow and badly pot-holed and the city looks a bit like a cowboy town. The waters off Bunaken island were great but the beach itself was filthy with trash all over. The locals on the island said the trash had been washed over from Manado city. The city, provincial and national government will have to do a much better act if it hopes to attract international tourism." |
