| "Very nice high class hotel in the centre of Yogyakarta, easyly accesible from the airport.
Malioboro street is around the corner, Prabanan and Borobudur are just an hour ride from the hotel
Excellent food (breakfast and dinner).
The rooms are not so large (could be annoying for a longer stay) but are clean and well equiped." |

| "Nice hotel near downtown. good breakfast. easy and cheap airport shuttle, but can not understand why they charge per room, as we are travelling as a group of four in 2 rooms, they charge us double, although we only use ONE car. Try to reason with them, only get 1 dollar off, but it is not much anyway. I hope the management can see this and revise their policy" |

| "gorgeous hotel, wonderful spa, perfect location. we asked the hotel to book us the Ramayana Opera but too bad they didn't booked the one at the Prahbanan Temple ruins but instead booked the one with an artificial background and stage. most staff were courteous and generous with greetings. however, there was no welcome drink nor any freebies despite us booking everything from transfer to and from Solo airport, to spa, to opera etc." |

| "The Grand Mercure is the perfect retreat from the lively streets of Yogyakarta. We arrived on Saturday morning and went straight to the helpful staff at reception for help in making the most of a three-day stay. Within minutes they arranged a sunrise trip to Borobudor, a five-hour hiking tour to Mount Merapi and an evening of traditional dance with dinner. The most hassle-free trip we have every experienced in the region.
And, on our final day when they didn't have any available cars to take us the airport, the receptionist on duty went out to chat to a local taxi driver and arranged for him to pick us up at 7am the following morning.
Wonderful service aside, the hotel is tastefully decorated and the nicest touch is a jar of jelly sweets in the room rather than fruit that goes untouched.
All in all, we would highly recommend this hotel, not to mention the city itself. Wonderful trip." |

| "We have stayed in the new section; our room was on the 3rd floor with pool view. Everything about this hotel is excellent except it is out of control! I mean, through out our 5 night stay, we had to suffer with noises and scream by adults and children while swimming in the pool. Some morning the kids’ scream started at 5:30 AM and some night until midnight!! We called the reception many times, us and other guests, but nothing was done about it this was annoying for all rooms overlooking the pool area. The management must be strict with the residents, mainly locals, especially during the weekend, and not allow people to use the swimming pool and recreation facilities before 9 AM and after 9 PM, as elsewhere. I have written to the management 3 weeks ago, so far no reply." |

| "A pleasant hotel on the edge of the city surprizingly quiet at night for an Indonesian city hotel. The rooms were not over sized but clean and comfortable with standard bathing facilies. There is a good bar with 2 for 1 bet 5pm - 8pm. An average restaurant (dont order the battered fried bananas) All in all an excellent stop over for business or pleasure. " |
