gorgeous hotel, wonderful spa, perfect location. we asked the hotel to book us the Ramayana Opera but too bad they didn't booked the one at the Prahbanan Temple ruins but instead booked the one with an artificial background and stage. most staff were courteous and generous with greetings. however, there was no welcome drink nor any freebies despite us booking everything from transfer to and from Solo airport, to spa, to opera etc.

| "Excellent hotel. Fantastic service, rooms were well appointed (only gripe was that the shower temperature was not consistent, hot then cold ...). A 10-15 min walk away from the 'night' market (shops are open all day though). Incredible value for money. Note that if you have an early morning start (ie Borobudur sunrise tour) you can ask the Hotel to pack your breakfast for you!). " |

| "This has to be one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Superb service by warm, courteous and helpful staff, an amazing breakfast buffet, beautiful fittings [Javan hand-puppets, batik dies, carved antiquities, large pots of orchids, etc], excellent facilities including free wifi, two elderly men playing gamelang gongs at breakfast - I could go on. Very central - just around the corner from the main Jalan Malioboro - and with a fleet of bejuks outside ready to transport you to wherever you want to go if you choose not to walk. Recommended unreservedly as a lovely place to stay. " |
