| "Melia was in a good location and the room and service were good. Buffet breakfast OK but we had dinner one night and the meal was disappointing." |

| "The room is a bit dated. When we moved in, the safety box did not work. But they nicely switched us to a upgrade room with balcony. But then when we plugged in the coffee pot, it shorted the circuit break. Again, the service promptly resumed the electricity and changed the pot.
But the room is fairly clean. A/C may be felt not cool enough to begin with, but then adequate after your body cools down. The marble tiles in the bathroom is very nice, but a few problems on the bathtub faucets keep me from giving it more stars.
The courdyard garden and swimming pool are beautifully landscaped. It is a joy to wander around in the garden.
I especially give a thumb up on the breakfast buffet. Besides some western food, they includes some Asian and local flavors. They changed hot items daily, so you don't eat the same food every day. The food is really tasty. I always ate so much that I didn't really need lunch after that feast.
The service is very attentive and amicable. Everybody is very friendly. But the tour packages offered in onside travel agent are way too expensive. You can get a lot of much cheaper deal from many local travel agent.
AsiaRoom offered really good deal on this hotel. Even on this hotel's web site, the type of room I stayed list $70 + tax a night, but AsiaRoom offered $57 a night including tax.

| "The size of bathroom was too big comparing to the room. Hair Dryer was 'cranky' and not to its full function.
Spread of lunch buffet mostly comprises of local food, not exactly worth the money paid. Dessert section was poor mainly consisting of cut fruits and less choice of cakes and puddings.
Staff was overall okay to us, but seemingly a slight discrimination on the nationality of the guests checking in compare to the other hotel I stayed in 2 nights before, from a lower star ranking hotel. In other words, their service is really a question to us!
In-house massage was bad, looks like we were being served by 2 trainees who had to use our room toilets to clean up after our massage session, and what a mess they left after that !
All in all, 5 star hotel, but only 3 star service.

| "Great hotel with a lot of facilities (accept tennis/badmiton court). Swimming Pool is a littel bit too smal but has beautifful entrance hall. The hotel will be prefect if the carpet (room's floor) changed into marble. Carpet floor look dirty.
