No way!
This really was a dump. I have never experienced anywhere like it. As soon as we walked up the stairs to our room we could smell vomit.this lasted for our entire stay.

3/5  Posted by MR. JAMES, CARL, United Kingdom in July 2007
"After staying at this hotel 3 years ago, we returned this June for 2nights after finding it one of the most reasonable in Dublin area, through Asia rooms.com.Last time we were in the modern part which was preferable. This time we were on the front, in a damp, musty room with roadworks outside which went on allnight, overnight, followed by the trains rumbling overheard very early in the am. Most disturbing. However, that said, the bar is very handy next to reception as is the late night, lounge after service! Breakfast is good, though a poor selection for veggies. Veggie sausage and mushrooms would be appreciated! All told, you get what you pay for and it proved to be a good all round budget short break."

"The Norh Star isn't the classiest hotel you will ever stay in, but it was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breaksfast was always fresh and hot. It's very close to the center of Dublin, 15 mins from the Temple Bar area. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was upgraded and as a consequence we slept in a suite which was great as we were honeymooners. It was very nice and clean. The hotel was quiet apart from some clients who went to bed late in a very noisy way without caring about the others. The service was great, especially from the concierge who advised us on extra activities which revealed to be extremely interesting. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious."
