| "Great location but the hotel provided poor value for money. Rooftop breakfast: nice views but forgettable breakfast. Hotel needs urgent refurbishment and the staff need to welcome and show interest in guests." |

| "My judgement of La Margherita could well have been clouded by the fact that I had booked into another hotel, which had a pool and was nearer to the beach. However, although best described a 'quaint' de to some of its furnishings, La Margherita has a lot of things going for it.
For a start it is only a few yard away from the shuttle bus stop to and from the airport and is in the town centre.
The staff were very friendly and eager to help if any difficulty arose.
First thing in the morning, the view from the breakfast bar on the 5th floor is something to believed. A fantastic view of the old town and sea. Breakfast is best described as 'adequate' but the service was good. The 5th floor also houses a recreation area, which is useful. A pleasant stay." |

| "The hotel is in a great location in Alghero if you like to wander the lovely cobbled streets of the old town. The rooms were adequate and clean - no fancy extras. breakfast was typical continental and plenty of it. However, the windows are not double glazed so, being on a main road, we found it extremely noisy and got very little sleep. Traffic noise seemed to go on all night - surprising as Alghero seems such a quite town!
The staff were not friendly and said no more than couple of sentences to us and could not provide us with any information. I would stay at the Margherita again purely because of the good location but would take earplugs!!!" |
