| "We had requested a room with twin beds but ended up on a double bed, which was very small and uncomfortable for the average traveler. The bed was pushed against a wall causing one to climb over to get out of bed. We resolved the problem by moving the bed, giving a narrow walkway for the inside sleeper. The bathroom was small and typical of bathrooms in Japan. The room and facilities were clean and the amenities were good. We had free coffee from 3pm to midnite and a place to enjoy the snacks we purchased with the free coffee. Breakfast was good with dry cereal, yogurts, salads, fruits, breads, and coffee and orange juice. In addition, they also had rice balls available. We stayed in a Comfort in Sendai that had twin beds and we really enjoyed our stay there. They even had free internet usage. The locations in Akita and Sendai were also close to the train stations and took a 5-10 minute walk to get there." |

| "The Comfort Hotel Akita is a short walk from JR Akita Station, and the beautiful Senshu Park. A convenience store can easily be found, as well as restaurants.
The service is excellent. They can speak a little English, but will really go out of their way to help you.
You can get free LAN connection in your room, if you have a laptop. As for the rooms, there is a big TV and a huge bed thats very comfortable. The bathroom is the usual kind you find in any Japanese business hotel (electronic toilet, sink, bath/shower), and everything is very clean.
Breakfast is a buffet, with limited choice but there is fruit, yoghurt, warm bread, and as much coffee as you like until 12midday.
I really can't fault the hotel, and would definately stay there again when I want a few days in Akita City. " |
