"We booked 2 hotels through AsiaRooms.com. After the stay at the first hotel, we were expecting similar standards, but were disappointed. Check in time was a very late 3pm, check out a very early 10am. Although I indicated a non-smoking room, it was not available. The complimentary breakfast is quite bad. Plus point is the hotel's proximity to the train station."

"Best Location & Service......good breakfast"

"When booking my room for Comfort Fukuoka, I mistakenly booked a double (with one bed) rathre than a twin (with two beds) for myself and a friend. When I arrived at the hotel I had to pay an additional 4500 yen to change rooms. I know it is my responsibility to book the appropriate room. But, I respectfully ask that you enhance this part of the booking process to give the client an opportunity to verify, perhaps double-check, that the proper request for accomadations has been made. The hotel was very nice and I would stay there again. I appreciate your time and thank you for such a nice service. Regards, Michael J. Louise "

"Subway , JR station and the 100 yen bus stop are all just across the road. Good budget hotel. Breakfast is reasonable. Will recommend to anyone whom wish to travel on its own with budget. Internet service though free at lobby not very useful as I can't send email out of the terminal with no technical help available. "

"The breakfast is good for that standard. Ample to eat. As for locality. Its prefect and walking distance to Bus/train station. Service is OK. Service staffs are able to communicate in English."

"This hotel is very good value and very close to Hakata railway station - so it is easy to get around from it. There are cafes in the area but it is quite a hike to the canal where the bars, cafes and clubs are. The hotel was spotless, and provided quite a few facilities for a very affordable room rate. Especially great was the coin laundry, trouser press, drinks machine and a nice touch were the free tea, coffee and juice. Breakfast was basic but adequate. The room and bathroom was small but acceptable if you are not traveling with a lot of luggage and only sharing the room with another person. "

"The Comfort Hakata was conveniently located right across the road from the Hakata train station. In addition, two subway stops are located below the hotel along with an underground shopping mall. The rooms were reasonably large by Japanese standards and the breakfast was convenient, as was the free internet in the lobby. Overall, the Comfort Hakata was a clean, conveniently located hotel at a reasonable price."

"We spent three nights at the Comfort Hotel in Hakata. It is across the street from the train station and the bus stop. (There is a 100 yen bus which stops at various locations of interest such as Canal City, Tenjin, etc.) The Comfort is not a luxury hotel, the room is not large by American standards, and the bathroom is small. However, the room size is more than adequate, and its convenient location and its amenities more than make up for the size. There is a modest complimentary breakfast which includes boiled egg, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, various rolls, etc. There is also a Japanese style breakfast consisting mainly of triangle shaped rice balls (nigiri). Free coffee, tea and juice are also offered between 3:00 and midnight (I think). Their pillows were comfortable allowing for a good night's sleep, a refrigerator was provided, and the hotel even had an ice pillow for my friend who had a sore neck! The English-speaking staff was friendly and efficient. Down the street was a 7-11 if you want to get some "fast food" to eat in your room. We enjoyed our stay and had no complaints about the hotel. "
