| "I expected a great deal more from this hotel for $200/night. I was excited upon arriving at the hotel because it looked like a newer hotel and looked like it would be pretty nice. It slowly went downhill as soon as I tried to check in - it started off by the staff losing my confirmed & paid for reservation. Then they stuck us on the 20th floor where they knowingly had air conditioning problems and would not move us until we insisted (this also happened to my parents who were staying down the hall from us). I was highly unimpressed by the front desk staff - they didn't seem to have their act together.
While the building is located across the JR station, there really wasn't too much else in the vicinity. We were also very disappointed that they did not have any type of a business center/computer - the nearest one was a 10-minute walk away.
In the 5 hotels that we stayed at during our 16-day trip through Japan, this was the only lowlight of the bunch. I'm glad that we were only there for 1 night!" |

| "We were greeted on arrival by 2 friendly and lovely lady staff who spoke English. They then took our luggage to our rooms.
The location of the hotel is very good, just a stone's throw from the entrance of the JR Hakata Station (near the Shinkansen exit). However to enter the lobby of the hotel from the main street, we had to climb a short flight of steps and then onto an escalator. It would have been good if they had some sort of ramp for wheelchair bound guests, baby prams and luggages.
The rooms were small and so warm that we had to open the windows. Breakfast, included as part of the package was acceptable, not fantastic.
Hotel staff was friendly and requests for extra pillows and towels were met very promptly.
Overall, a pleasant stay for us. " |
