"We must have had a senior moment to have booked this place. We should have known by the cheap price but others were not available. If you are backpacking you'd have to make a decision between the two backpacks or the two bodies. I guess it was clean because the smell of disinfectant was so strong, but the place made our skin crawl. It was rather ironic that when we turned on the TV, porn was playing, and it was pouring rain so not a great choice to go out and walk around. It was in a rather ugly area near the train station anyway. At least it was close to the station and easy to find. Zero English available. If you aren't picky and short on money, go for it."

"The staff was friendly, but yukatas and bed covers smelled like dust."

| "good location, not far from the JR station. Staff helpful, some spoke english. Clean, on smaller size, but OK for two for a couple of days.

"services was ok, but room and bathroom size was very poor. the location is quite good, the hotel is 5 minutes walking by the train station. I think it is good for one or 2 nights, not for an holiday "

"A typical Japanese business hotel - spotlessly clean facilities and excellent service. Of course the rooms are small but represent good value for money. The Castle Inn is very close to JR Kanazawa and the main bus terminal so transport to main tourist sites (e.g Kenrokuen) and Katamachi shopping precinct is very accessible. Restaurants and supermarket in JR station and laundromat and free Internet service in the hotel made for an easily managed and comfortable stay in this lovely city."
