"Location was good, general condition of room was adequate for our needs. Tea and coffee facilities were very basic."

"This hotel should be rated as budget and priced as such. Wouldn't want to mislead your good clients."

"When I first arrived at Harborland, I was very surprised to find the area very quiet despite it being a Friday evening. Only found out after a while that the main centre of activity in Kobe was actually near Sanomiya which is couple of stations away, rather than Harborland. That said, this hotel still offers good value for money and given that it's in close proximity to most of the attractions, I will still choose it if I ever go back to Kobe. "

"My friend and I stayed at The New Otani Harborland in late November. The location from Kobe Station was great, and the restaurants and shopping centers around the Harbor area were very nice. The city view at night was really beautiful from there. We did not eat there, but did have to buy a meal from the machine because we arrived late the frist night. It was terrible. The carpet in our room was kind of worn out. There was a big patch in the walking space of the room. Kind of ugly. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, although most had trouble speaking or understanding English. If I wrote it down on paper, that was better for them. The earth did not shake while I was there, and the air was clean, so I would have no problem visiting Kobe again, and if all of the other hotels were booked, as they were when we went there (It was Japanese National Day ) I would have no problem staying at this hotel again"

"Excellent service and location. Breakfast well done, buffet style. Numerous eateries inside and adjacent to the hotel complex. JR train also close. Only recommendation would be to educate front desk staff. At check in they requested payment notwithstanding my presentation of the Voucher, which by the way is still in my possession. I had to make several attempts to explain the reservation was pre-paid. Three agents participated in the check in, and finally they accepted my assurances. The front end is obviously not up to speed on your Vouchering process. "
