"Old hotel with good lcations and friendly staff. Free internet service was a plesant service for travelers working on their laptops. One drawback is the small heating pot (could have upgraded the heating flask) and the lack of sufficient power points. Laptop needs two (one for power adapter and one for the LAN device). Will appreciate they provide extension cord or add power points. I will say, its value for money for leisure and work, I like it and this made my stay in Kyoto fun."

"Great location, next to Kyoto station. Gives a free pass to Kyoto Tower, as they are part of the group. Bath is very small, but clean. "

"The hotel was located within minutes of the Kyoto train station which was very nice. The staff was friendly but our rooms were not very nice. I had asked for non-smoking rooms and our 2 rooms were very bad. After 1 day all of our clothes smelled like smoke! The elevators were so small that 4 of us could not fit in with any luggage at all. Out of all the hotels we used in Japan, this was the most dissappointing."

"Room small, bathroom very small, good location by the station. Staff most helpful. Hotel a bit over priced against all the other hotels we stopped at."

"it was a good stay but i must say that the carpet in the room really in need of a shampoo!"
