We really enjoyed our stay with the Karasuma Kyoto Hotel! The rooms were a good size, the bathrooms a little small but well layed out. It was extreamly quiet for being on a main road. The location was also fantastic! Would definalty recommend it to anyone staying in Kyoto.

| "The Karasuma Kyoto was located just a short walk from downtown Kyoto and had a subway entrance right out the front which allowed easy transport around Kyoto. The rooms were larger than expected for the price and the service was outstanding with all staff being very polite and helpful. A Starbucks in the foyer was handy given the overpriced breakfast at the Hotel (about 2,300 yen per person). For the price this hotel is great value with the service standards of a much more expensive establishment. Highly recommended." |

| "With 3 people, we got only a twin room with a - really bad - third bed.
Bathroom was extremely small, really surprising in Kyoto.
Receptionists not so welcoming as in other Japanese hotels." |

| "Very convenient location at the intersection of 2 railway lines (station 1 min away). Convenience store, fish market and major shopping streets nearby. They have a friendly walking map specific to the hotel, as well as a guide on bus numbers to take to popular tourist places and many others. Direct bus routes east to Gion and Maruyama Park. Direct train north to the Imperial Palace (2-3 stops). Direct train south to Kyoto Station (2nd stop). Kyoto Raku/Tourist Bus service 101 bus stop within 3 min of the hotel." |
