| "The hotel location was pretty good, right in front of the station and the bus terminal, but the place was a little old, and you could feel this in the rooms." |

| "New Hankyu Hotel is very conveniently located opposite the Kyoto Station. That has services for JR line, Singkansen and Metro. Travelling around to the other places is very convenient, you can use busesas well(bus terminal is also opposite the hotel). The staff were helpful but with very limited english sometimes difficult to get any information. The room is of reasonable size for japan standard. We asked for a king size bed but were given 2 single beds instead. The bathroom is extremely clean for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast was good serving both Japanese and Western breakfast. Overall very satisfied with the hotel. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Kyoto." |

| "The New Hankyu is situated directly opposite the JR Kyoto railway station. The handy subway can be reached by an underpass through a department store just outside the hotel.
The room was small but perfectly formed and cleaned everyday. There was a data port in the room for a laptop. Breakfast buffet was provided in the hotel by use of a voucher system. Overall a very pleasant stay and perfect to explore Kyoto from!" |

| "Great hotel for the foreign traveler. Just a few steps to Kyoto Station -- very convenient! Breakfast buffet is a combination of Western and Japanese, fairly typical with eggs undercooked and meat a bit greasy. However, the Japanese food is good, staff are very helpful and there is a handicap ramp for those with difficulties walking all the stairs in Japan. We enjoyed our stay and think you will, too." |

| "This was a perfect hotel to stay at. No doubt the location directly in front of the JR, local train and Shinkansen station, plus the bus depot, is a major advantage of staying at this hotel. A couple great restaurants, especially for breakfast, and even more restaurants opposite to the hotel near the Isetan department store. Room and bathroom size were great. I cannot complain whatsoever about this hotel, it was a joy to stay there. " |

| "Great Hotel! One of the best I stayed at during my trip. The location was very convenient being in front of Kyoto station. Breakfast was great (and was included!) plus the service was good. I really liked the bathtub dispensers for soap & shampoo! It was also the only hotel that had free wired internet if you bring your own laptop. Although nothing is said about internet access on their site, there was a wired network jack in the room. All we had to do was plug in our laptop and we should check our e-mail! The connection was a bit slow but for web browsing and internet it was fine. The only bad thing I can think of was that the view from the room was rather crappy. We got a side room with a building in front of us blocking the view of Kyoto Tower." |

| "Location is great. Directly across the road from the Kyoto train station (west entrace). There's a really great coffee shop across the road next to the 7-eleven that makes a great Cafe Latte for 200yen, or a Starbucks just down the street. Bus station across the road from the hotel also which is a great alternative from the trains for sight seeing. Busses are very good & easy to follow in Kyoto - get a map from Information just inside the train station.
Room was a good size compared to some other hotels we had stayed in across Japan. Bathroom was standard for Japan - not huge, but clean & with all the facilities you need.
We had the buffet breakfast included which had a huge range of food and drink for both Western and Japanese.
Must see tourist attractions in Kyoto:
- Monkey Mountain
- Golden Pavillion
- Kyoto Castle (the creaky floors are so cool!)
Had a great time, thanks!" |
