The rooms on the 9th floors are very very nice but the room we had on a lower floor was as well very good. Good value. " |

| "The hotel staff at the Rhino Hotel are very curtious, friendly and helpful. There are bus route maps in English at the Hotel Front Desk and although the staff do not speak very much English, they will try to answer your questions.
The room was modern and clean. The hotel is close to a main bus stop and tube station which enabled us to travel to the varies temples and shrines in Kyoto. The Hotel is 20 minutes from Kyoto Train Station by bus or 10 mins by taxi." |

| "Room size is great for Japan (even the single room is big). Bathrooms are small though and quite dark.
The location is not perfect but it is easy to catch a bus to go to Kyoto station (15 min) or to Gion (10 min) or to the main temples. Also they sell day pass for the bus network at the front desk.
I found the bus was a good way to travel within Kyoto as you pay 500 yens for the day pass and can use all the buses (the subway system is a bit tricky as different lines are held by different companies). And there are 2 bus stops down the hotel.
Staff was really nice and helpful. They made a map of the area with all the necessary info such as the restaurants, internet cafes, ATMs, convenient stores, bus stops to go to the main sightseeing! It is really well done!
The breakfast buffet is nice with a good selection of international food and a Japanese food!
I thought it was a pity that there was no bar in the hotel though! That is the only real negative point.
The last thing is the Spa center. It is really nice. Only 1000 yens for the hotel guests and you can use the pool and relax in the onsens. Great! Especially after an entire day of sightseeing :-)
