| "I stayed at this hotel for two nights after spending two nights in Osaka in a hotel with the same price range. While the first hotel is a very good value hotel that offered small but nice and clean room, I got a room filled with smoking smell, stained and old carpet floor, and (as i requested for a room for 3 persons) the extra bed that came with a larger sized mattress and old sheet and cover from this hotel. Although the staffs were very helpful and nice and the hotel's location is very convenient as it's just around the corner of Kyoto station (the starting point of almost everything), for the room I got on my latest trip, I would have to say that this hotel is not that good value for those who want a nice and clean room to rest after a long day exploring the city." |

| "Good clean hotel in a good location near the JR Kyoto Station. The hotel building is not very impressive from outside but is quite OK inside
Usual smallish room but well presented and serviced, and friendly helpful staff.Hotel meals are only average, much better options close by." |

| "Our stay at Tower Annex in Japan was enjoyable. The staff were courteous and very helpful. Our meal in the Dining room was ok. Even with the language barrier we received good service. We would recommend this Hotel as it is close to JR Station and Shopping." |

| "The location was great..it's within 2 blocks of Kyoto Station. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in the area, including at the station, but they all seem to close at 8 pm. There is a grocery store across the street that also sells bento. The hotel is clean and there is a small restaurant in the lobby, which also closes at 8 pm. We had a triple room and a double room. Without that third bed, the double room was a decent size, but still small compared to U.S. hotels. Had to use the desk top to lay out one person's luggage; no closet, just a couple hooks on the wall; no drawers to store your clothing. The bathroom is especially tiny, if you were 6 ft tall, you may have to hunch over in the shower. The staff was helpful, but I found in most Japan hotels, their English is very limited. They had luggage transfer service in their lobby, which was very convenient. " |

| "Fantastic location, close to rail & bus terminals. Good size room for couples on a budget. Bathroom might be small, but more than adequate. Service was friendly & helpfull. Very comfortable and oh so quiet. We loved it!" |

| "The hotel is conveniently located and the rooms are really nice. The only issue for me was the bathroom size, the shower was a bit low so I had to lower my head while I was having a shower. But I guess this is more a japanesse thing, not only happening in this hotel." |

| "Overall it was a good stay. The bathroom is so narrow. The quality of pillow should be improved." |

| "Great service. I arrived here without my passport as i left it in the previous city i stayed in (45 mins by train) and the hotel front desk went the extra mile to call my previous hotel to arrange for it to be sent down. Kudos for the wonderful service" |
