"Very good location if you need to be near Nagano station. The breakfast buffet could be better. In-room internet is free (provided you have your own laptop) but you have to ask for it and you will be given a kit to assemble the connection. It's a bit dated since most hotels simply have a cat5 connection that you just plug into."

"It's right from the 80s but decent hotel nect to the railway station - which a good location if you plan to hike around Nagano. Also good location as the railway is practically in next to the center. Don't expect the personnel to speak English, they will try to help you to the best of their abilities, though. "

"We found the Sunroute hotel to be an excellent hotel. The location is excellent if you are arriving by the bullet train and the hotel is close to some great restaurants too. The staff were very helpful and most obliging. We will definitely stay here again."

"Location is ok when you are travelling by train. Hotel is worn out, aircondtioning doesn't work, and windows can hardly be opened. It was the most expensive hotel in Japan we had though we got no breakfast (You can buy it for another 1200 Yen if you want). I would look for other options if i would have to stay in Nagano again."
