We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this stylish hotel about two small blocks from Meguro station. It is close to many pleasant, inexpensive eateries and a supermarket, just a few doors up towards the station on the same side of the road. The room was quiet and comfortable, with a view over the garden, pond and fountain. The airconditioning was too warm for us, but the hotel staff opened the window, which made it perfect. The bathroom was small but quite OK, being the standard toilet, bath and shower capsule built into a corner of the room. Hot water and tea bags are supplied, but no coffee. Bring a small jar of coffee to Japan, as this is the same at most hotels. The foyer is spacious and hospitable and overlooks the Japanese garden, but there is no free internet access in the hotel, however there is an international phone booth. English newspapers are available each day, as is breakfast in the restaurant, however we ate out, as the local food is inexpensive and pleasant. There is a Dotor Cafe on the other side of the road, up towards the station, which is perfect for a good cheap hot breakfast. This is a very good hotel, and Meguro Station is on the JR line, but it is not right in Central Tokyo, so it takes a little while on the train to get to the main action.

| "Double rooms were tiny, No where to put your luggage and bathroom was tiny also. If your over 6ft don't forget to duck. No irons to use at all at hotel. Location is good for JR pass holders. Tripple rooms are a standard western size. Hotel was clean and safe." |

| "For Japan the room and the bathroom was quite dirty (which would be still considered clean in other countries).
Although the price was quite cheap, the room was smaller than in other hotels of the same category.
The hotel looks from outside better than our room really was.
People working there are behaving very nice and helpful.

| "An unbeatable Tokyo hotel for value. The quality belies the low price. Meguro may not seem the first choice for a stay in Tokyo but the hotel is only 5 minutes walk from Meguro station on the Yamanote line and as good a location as any for getting around. The area around the station also bosts a good range of affordable resturants - western and Japanese. " |

| "This hotel is perfectly located - only a 5 minute walk to the JR Meguro train station, which is on the loop line that covers all the main Tokyo attractions. The room itself (and the bathroom) was very small and the bean pillows uncomfortable. However, the hotel more than served its purpose of being somewhere simply to sleep and store shopping while getting out and about and seeing Tokyo. The excellent location (ie close to the train station, and with Meguro being only two train stops to Shibuya) was the best part of the experience and I would recommend this hotel based on that fact." |
