The rooms are quite small but quiet and well maintained. There was a good variety of food served at breakfast. The staff was very polite and spoke a little English.
The location is great for travelers. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the nearest JR line and about 7 minutes from the nearest subway line. The Sumo Stadium and Edo-Tokyo Museum are across the street from the hotel. The website states that the hotel has a pool, but when we asked at the front desk, we were told that they did not.
Overall, a good deal for the price. We would definitely stay here again.

"Good hotel let down by my room size which was tiny and cramped. Fortunately it was only for one night. Everything else was A1."

"I am glad I used comments already posted to select the Pearl Hotel it is located very close to a handy station in relation to the heart of Tokyo and each morning you could watch the sumo wrestlers train across the road from the hotel. My room was spotless, breakfast was very good and the hotel was handy to the station at Ryogoku. Great Value!!!!!"

"All was smooth, no problem. Correct value for money. Very clean. Well located, besides a JR station. Free internet access point at lobby. But the breakfast was very very bad"

"We stayed in a Studio Twin, 2 adults n a 5-yr old. To our opinion, this room is good for 2 persons only because there wasn't enough place to hang our coats and stow our luggages. I would suggest those with 2 adults and 1 child to choose the Twin room instead. Bathroom is small but adequate. Cleanliness is good. Location is very convenient, right opposite Ryogoku JR station. But by staying near to a station, be prepared that you will hear the noise generated by the trains up to 12 midnight. Ryogoku Pearl Hotel appears to be an L-shape building. We were staying at the wing that faces the station, therefore we can hear the noise. But if you are at the other wing, you will not hear it. Counter staff were very polite, and had lent us umbrellas when it rained and had made sure our luggages were sent to Airport when we engaged a local courier to liase with them direct. Be prepared to eat the same spread of breakfast everyday."
