Would I stay at this location
again:

Most likely
1. It is a budget hotel and is highly recommended for price concerned travellers. The place was clean and quiet. It was in fact only few minutes walk from the Ikebukuro sub-way station. However, the taxi-driver got no idea where it was even I had provided the address. But luckily, I search and knew that the hotel just next to the Post office. I actually need to show it in Japanese to the driver before he could took us there. For traveller who took sub-way to Ikebukuro Station, the walking direction would be : 1. exit from the sub-way platform and you would be in the underground walk-way, 2. head yourself to the west side and look for C5-C6 exit, there is a convenience store named "LAWSON" 3. You keep right and walk 2 stairways up to the street, you would see one big vendoring machine for juice etc., 4. then keep left and walk straight ahead for around 3 blocks, it took approx. 2~3 minutes, you should found a "post office" on the way and a big oil station is located on the opposite / other side of the road. 5. Ikebukuro Business Hotel (in Japanese name only) just next to the post office but walk along the side street and you could find the hotel's main entrance. We would suggest Ikebukuro to map their location on the booking site for the convenience of interested parties. 2. Personally, I found the lighting inside the hotel room is not enough as only a bed light and a table lamp is available. Would suggest some improvement on it. Thanks.

"Nice place for a short stay in Tokyo. Well located within no more than ten minutes to Ikebukuru Station, restaurants of various styles, and shopping places. The only problem is that there is no kettle for you to make a tea or coffee for yourself. "

"Well located hotel. Probably more suited towards the younger crowd, but would be alright for anyone of any age. The staff are all really nice and easy to talk to in English. Recommend for nearly anyone looking for a bargain."

"Your +/- bar rating tool above doesn't seem to work, at least on my computer. Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro was a bit old and dirty, and I would not stay there again, though I think it might be a reasonable choice for budget travelers. The Internet availability was very inconvenient compared to all the other hotels I stayed at in Japan -- only available in the lobby of the hotel, where it was crowded with very limited places to sit. What most bothered me was that the front desk refused to drop something in the mail for me when I was checking out to return to the U.S. I was returning my rented cell phone to a Japan address. I have never been in another hotel where something as simple as placing something into the mail was a problem. This seemed to me rude and ridiculous."
