The hotel is fine, but the location has a lot to be desired. Yes it's close to the Shinjuku Train Station, however the noise from the bars and clubs at night as well as the crowds and propositions make it not an enjoyable place to stay. If you're looking for a place to be where you'll be propositioned 3 times on your way back to the hotel after a 12 hour workday, then you should stay here. I most likely will not.

| "Great location - in the middle of everything. Close walk to Shinjuku station.
Rooms are small - but this is the same everywhere in Tokyo and Osaka. The beds are quite small being "semi double" beds. I think it may well be a tight fit for average sized Westerners.
Overall an excellent stay." |

| "1) Location is very good for persons who need to transfer to other cities such as Tokyo,Kyoto, Nara etc because it's is Yamanote line. You don't have to waste your time to transfer to subway.
2) Easy to find the hotel
3) Easy to find food and drink. There are many noodle-Udon and Sushi shops nearby which reasonable price.
4) Hotel is sourrounds by the game shops.
5) From Hotel to Disneyland it takes about 45 minutes.
6) From Hotel to Asakusa temple takes about 20 minutes.
7) If you have senior travels with you, they only have the 1 escalator which is for going up. However, you can ask the front desk to change the escalator to coming down if you hae big luggages or travel with seniors.
Overall is recommended to stay. Room is quite small but it's expected and have the same size as big as other hotels which same rates. " |

| "It's about 15mins walk or 100m from Shinjuku station. Can stroll into the subnade (opens 9am to 9pm) onto the JR station. Lots of activities just round the corner streets. 24hrs Mcdonald nearby and plenty of food alleys. The hotel is facing the theatre HUMIV. Just a street behind the Alta Studio big screen. The room is small as well as the bathroom. No windows, only emergency glass pane for outside viewing. There's no hot water in the room and need to collect it from along the corridor'dispenser. The counter staff are very friendly. When asking for directions, they even wrote it on a piece of paper and explain how to to go about train transfers. Great Stay. Thank you Hotel Kent. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit." |

| "This is the 2nd time I stayed here.
For location it is perfect, close to the station, your in the middle of the night life and all shops.
The rooms are small as expected in Tokyo.
I have stayed in 5* hotels in Shinkuju with smaller rooms though.
TV has no English channels and the Pay TV is only XXX.
The beds are very old and you can feel the springs in your back. 5 nights this time was just too much for my back.
If you are hoing there to party up you may want to book a double room and pay the extra as that is your only chance of getting a double bed.
Dont forget you are in the square so it can be loud at night!!
Not the place for a romantic weekend away!!!" |
