| "Not that easy to locate from Shinjuku Station at first and had to ask around for it as the hotel building was dwarfed by many big buildings but you once you see the big EPSON billboard, thats the location as the hotel is just a few steps away in a brown building. My tiwn bedroom was bigger than I thought for such a reasonable rate and thus my wife and I were extremely pleased. The room was very clean and everything was in its proper place. Staff and service was very friendly and hassle-free. Location is SUPER with the hustle and bustle or Shinjuku just 5mins walk away. This hotel is HIGHLY recommended!!" |

| "The rooms are small but functional. The only purposes it serve are the most basic ones - sleeping and storing your luggage. Well, it may be less than comfortable if you had big luggages like us. However, the staff are very helpful and friendly. They patiently answered our queries on where the best eateries are, and where we can do our shopping. They do understand a little English. The location is superb, 5 minutes walking distance to Shinjuku station, which is kind of like our City Hall. Many eateries are only a stone throw away from here too. However, one thing that is unsatisfactory about this hotel is that me and my companion keep waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. It appears that the hotel shuts down the air condition system for a few hours a night - to reduce bills maybe? That aside, we are very pleased with the hotel in general for the price we paid. Recommended to budget travelers. " |

| "We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the hotel given the very affordable pricing!
The room is just nice for the 2 of us with all the neccessary toiletries, hair dryer, fridge, lan socket readily available.
The hotel location is very good and easy to locate, though need some walk from the bus stop after taking the airport limousine shuttle. But after exploring a bit, the place is pretty easy to move about and the hotel is very accessible to a lot of shopping, food as well as the Shinjuku train station.
The staff are polite, patient and very helpful to help me find information when we told him we would like to visit mount Fuji on our own, and helped us translate the places we are going to in japanese to facilitate our moving around." |

| "Wonderful sized room. Very clean. Non smoking room great. Great location of Hotel. Plenty of eateries around hotel for breakfast and other meals. Did not try breakfast at hotel but at 1200yen the menu looked quite good value. Short walk (5-6 mins)to subway and night life. I have difficulty in walking distances. This location is quite good for someone like me." |

| "The location of the hotel is better than expected. If you are taking the airport limousine (bus) from the airport to Shinjuku Station, when alighted, just walk towards the building with "Citizen" clock. Further down you should also see a building with huge Epson words on it...The hotel is on the left of the building (Epson), about 10 minutes walk.
But if you are taking the train, head towards the west exit. Note that, you can see the hotel as "Star Hotel". Tokyo cab drivers usually know it better as Tokyo Star Hotel rather than Shinjuku Star Hotel though.
Room-wise was a bit disappointing. The room size is probably big enough for one person, but is too cramped for a couple, especially if the couple have two huge luggages.
However, room is clean and there is free in-roorm Internet.
The hotel reception is very helpful and do know English a little." |

| "The hotel location was good (less then 5 mins from Shinjuku stattion). Many eateries and shoping place nearby. However, finding the right exit at the train station is a challenge initially but once you are familiar then it is a breeze. Room was slighty smaller then expected but overall room and toilet was clean and comfortable." |

| "Pros :
1. very convenient location (hotel is in the tourist map !)
2. friendly staff who speak english
3. affordable DIY laundry facilities (200yen 1 wash, 100 yen per 30min drying time)
4. good toiletries and spacious bathroom (has bath tube)
5. attentive staff (cleaner was very attentive & gave us extra pillow, toiletries when she saw that we had a child with us)
6. cold drinks dispensing machine at every floor (including beer) at std prices (120 yen for drinks)
7. reasonable priced buffet breakfast (1200 yen for adult, 600 yen for children) & room service
8. good value for money!!
Cons :
1. small room (not much room to walk around). but has dressing table, TV, tea making facilities, mini fridge.
2. std room not suitable for 2 adults + 1 child (double bed is slightly smaller than std double)
