| "The room was quite satisfactory, but this place is on the edge of town, a long way from anywhere. Getting into town requires a $3-$5 (depending on negotiations, time of day & currency used) tuk-tuk ride.
We were there for only one night & it was the off season, so this huge-lobbied hotel was quiet as a mausoleum, with an atmosphere to match.
During the regular staff's lunch break, the young fellow manning the desk couldn't deal with a minor problem we had. He promised to tell the regular staff when they come back from lunch, but forgot to do so.
The breakfast menu offers a choice of Western or Korean. Based on the tasty sounding menu descriptions, we chose the Korean, & were very disappointed. The eggs they served with our Korean breakfast were perfect tho, so the Western breakfast is probably pretty decent.
Good room value for the price, but too inconveniently located.

| "Many of the reviews which we previously read identified location as a problem. We found the location great because it was out of town, it was good to come back from the dust of town to a quiet garden and pool and relax. The staff made our stay very memorable - we ate in the Hotel every evening and ate well. The main problem with Vientiane is the lack of Taxi's - the easiest way to get around is by Tuk- Tuk, but you can hardly go out to dine in a Tuk - Tuk !" |

| "Friendly and helpful staff, good food, very good service. Only drawback would be location, as it's a bit away from the center of town. As there are no proper taxis, tuk-tuks are the only way back. But would stay there again, just plan my transportation better." |

| "don't hesitate to call the hotel to organise a pick up from the airport. although it is not right in the center of the city (as long as we are aware of it is fine), it is really enjoyable after a day of walking aroung vientiane to go back to cosmo hotel where it is really quiet. the pool is quite nice too. the services are excellent and welcoming. very good quality for the price." |

| "Hotel and service is OK. Location is bad for visit to Vientiane. Location 8km. from City center. By day one way shutlle bus from hotel, in the evening you can only back bij old tuk tuk. Not confortable and min. 3 US Dollar." |

| "Negatives:
1. far away from Old Town and the Mekong River, which is where all the tourist wants to be.
2. The hotel is big but empty. Walking down the empty cooridors where I did not see any other hotel guests, there is a feeling that I am in "The Shinning"... but that is not the hotel's fault. They just did not have any guest.
The positives:
Big room, good bathroom, relatively clean, good service when I made a request --probably becuase I was the only paying guest in that big building.
