"Excellent central location, polite and effective staff, friendly welcome, impressive facilities. Really, a very nice hotel. "

"Aside from the noise (because they are renovating the next room), everything was perfect. I love to stay there! Its close to almost everything in Vientiane."

"I had to leave a day early and because my room was prepaid I understood that I would not receive a refund. After I left, however, I found that I had forgotten some things in the room and called to inquire. Even though the room was mine, prepaid until the next day at noon, I found that they had already cleaned out the room and had no idea where most of the things were that I had left. There are many other options in Vientiane that are nicer and much less expensive. The Plaza is primarily for business travelers because of it's central location."

"Very bad hotel.. 2*. Back in USSR. No service. Never again!!"

"We had booked for only the one night but decided to stay the two.... Sufficient recommendation for most people I would presume! Location of hotel is fab, rooms are large & clean and have everything your likely to need. If its in your budget range then have no worries, you'll enjoy this hotel. Insider information!!!! Don't pay over the odds by arranging for a driver through the hotel. Step outside and look for a middle aged man called Kuon (I think that's how you spell his name) He has a green people carrier and is happy to drive you around for half the cost the hotel quotes. We used him to take us north to Vein Vieng, this also included an over night stay. On the road back south the following morning he also stopped at many places of interest and gave good explanations of the sites. He even took us to his home, where he made us food and provided beer!! If you want to see the of road stuff and really want to see how the people of Laos really live then hire Kuon for a few days.... He drove supplies for the Russians during the nam war - What more do you want from your driver!! "

"This hotel is such a find because of an ideal location! It is not a large city anyway, but you can walk to the morning market, the shore, & for my pleasure the best restaurant for lao food called Kualoa & the other special eatery called Makphet. The hotel has a gym which is rare & very useful. A good size pool as well."

"It is centrally located. It is easily reach to Lao muesum and morning market. It is 5minutes walk to riverside where you can have your foot and body massage only 4usd. It is very refreshing. 15 minutes walk to the 10,000buddha temple. The town and stall is clean .The tuk tuk is around the hotel. They will ask you but they won,t pester you if you do not want a ride like the tuk tuk in Thailand. Breakfast is excellent. The hotel is valve for money. I notice in the picture many countries president have visited the hotel"

"I stayed at the Lao Plaza in September 2008. I found the room, facilities and staff to be very good. The room was always clean and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The location was excellent and the conference facilities were very good for business meetings. My only complaint would be the unreliable satelite television and the limited channels. Overall, I would be glad to stay at this hotel again."
