| "Lovely hotel and room. The pool area is a delight and the staff was wonderful. I almost skipped Vientiane to go straight to Luang Prabang
and am so glad I didn't. The city is charming and the hotel a very easy 2 block walk to the heart of the city where their are great resteraunts, coffee
shops and even a few small bars. I would definetly stay at the hotel again, a beautiful little oasis in the city. " |

| "Our
second time at the Settha Palace and I hope to return again soon. Hard to fathom the indifferent experience of other reviewers, as we found the staff and the
hotel just about faultless. Quite unfair to suggest that staff are motivated only by potential tips, this was not my experience at all. I really recommend
it. " |

| "A very pleasant hotel with well trained attentive staff. Rooms large and airy with a bathroom to match, comfortable bed, pillows etc. A bit far
from the main hub of things, the town centre and river are still easily walkable. Attractive garden and pool layout. We opted to eat out in the evening but
the breakfast was excellent with a good choice and the hot food freshly cooked to order. Try the London taxi to airport and not expensive either!" |

| "I can only echo the comments elsewhere on this page. It is a great hotel with relaxed professional service, probably the nicest hotel I have
stayed in in SEAsia. The restaurant and the pool are also excellent. Recommended." |

| "The hotel has lots of
charm. The rooms are traditionally furnished with beautiful teak wood furniture. You feel as if you had traveled back to the
1930s. The staff is well trained and friendly. The location is ok. It will take you about 10 min. to walk all the way to the river.
The only disappointment was the food in the restaurant. It was very expensive and nothing special at all. You will be much better off eating in
one of the many restaurants in town.

is fabulous. They made us feel very welcome. I would absolutely recommend the Settha Palace to anyone staying in Vientiane." |

| "After roughing it
(just a little..) upcountry, we landed at Settha and felt all the weight of the mud, dust, and griminess of the previous days. The first facility we enjoyed
was the showers, and royal they were. The room was superb, with a BIG soft bed, and in tune with the refined atmosphere of the reception area, indeed of the
whole hotel. Way above anything else we saw in Vientiane, a city that includes a number of modern monstrosities. Personnel was courteous, competent and
smiling; and the London taxi to the airport a great way to go.
Minus: an overly efficient aircon. Didn't sop us from sleeping like logs.
No opinion on the food, as we ate in town, save for breakfast, which was all right (perhaps more fresh fruit, in a tropical country, is always welcome?)." |
