Stayed in a sideview room with my sweetheart, and she likes the sideview. The room size is acceptable & we have a big bed(queen size at least). The bathroom is clean & neat. The TV is a bit small for a 5 stars hotel. Thought the hotel location is out of the central area, but free hourly shuttle bus available at hotel lobby for central areas & jetty. But no service from & to airport, have to take own cab. There is a indoor swimming pool, took a look but no time go swim. As we are on free & easy hoilday, the hotel staffs are friendly to be approached for directions. Overall, we have a pleasant stay. Recommended!

| "Great value for an older hotel without the casino flare! Fantastic view of the Macau Tower and within walking distance of down town. A quiet location too.

| "1. Loved the location. Hotel is perched on a hill amongst high class residential area, overlooking the sea and Macau Tower. Indeed it may be away from tourist attractions and shopping belt, but hotel is well served by free shuttle bus which leaves PUNCTUALLY every half hour. The public bus stop is also just a short walk away. The city centre is just one shuttle stop away
2. Taxi will have to be called. Hardly any taxis for you to flag off from hotel lobby
3. Hotel reception took the extra effort to prepare a room and allowed us to check in early because we were travelling with our 5 months old baby
4. We booked a triple sharing room. But the room given was rather small. We had to shift the 2 twin beds in order to accommodate the extra bed
5. Although our floor was supposed to be non-smoking, our neighbouring guests were happily puffing away in their rooms and along the corridor. Perhaps the hotel should exercise more care and discipline
6. This is the 1st time that we are actually charged for mineral water which is usually 'complimentary' for standard rooms
7. Shower curtain smells a little. The material is rather 'clothey' so it cannot dry completely
8. Helpful hotel staff who can speak both Mandarin and English
9. Very clean sheets, firm bed and comfortable pillows. One pillow is contoured and firm for good neck support, the other pillow is soft and cool to the touch with bean-like filling
10. Hotel is very serene and peaceful without the hustle and bustle of the city
11. Overall value for money hotel

| "Stay elsewhere if poss. This hotel is most definately not 5*, I've no idea who declared this status but it is barely a 3*. Only good thing is the shuttle bus but they made us feel like peasants for using it!!" |

| "We had a really great time there ! the sea view on higher floors is perfect ..(super spot during the Macau fireworks challenge!!)
The staff is really nice, friendly and helpful, with good english, which wasn't the case years ago in Macau ...
They upgraded us without problem and we had one of the best sea view you can have in Macau !
The area is nice and quiet, good for romantics/ couples, and if you want to visit Macau; but probably not if you don't want to walk to your Casino (15 min away to Wynn which seems to be a problem for some!?)...
But overall it is in the quietest area in Macau, no casino, no traffic, lakes and sea-view and few min walks from the main tourist spots. It is really appreciable.
However, We were quite disappointed about the facilities (no swimming pool, no mini golf, no fitness, all closed).
But the restaurant is of good quality and value if you want chinese dim sum.
I definitely recommend this one for couples, go for the suite on 3rd or 4th floor with seaview ! It's really spacious, nice, super clean, quiet and has a wonderful view....." |

| "Sitting in the middle on the hill facing the sea and lake, the location of Riviera is much better than I thought, even though it is not right in the town centre. But there are what you need just close by - local eateries, scenic spots and it is really a good jog along the lake. It just takes about 15 minutes to walk down to the town centre. It provides the cleaniess and efficient service like a 5-star hotel. It is a bit old but still well-maintained. May not fit for business travellers but definitely good for families. A pity that its recreation centre was under renovation during our stay, which, I think should be mentioned in the web. Otherwise, everything is perfect. " |
