The external part of the resort was excellent. Good location, excellent architecture, nice restaurants and environment. However, the hotel from inside was disappointing. Hotel lifts, room and toilet was not well maintained, bed sheets were dirty and room service was extremely slow. If your room is facing the resort main street, the noise level is also very high.

| "1) This kind of architecture in a tropical forest environment is rather "mauvais gout = bad taste".
2) Room was not made up during our stay.
3) Dinner at "L'Orient": poor service. Last dish, out of 3, was served 1 hour and 30 minutes from the time we ordered.
4) At the botanical garden restaurant, I had to wait 1 hour for a bowl of plain rice and few pieces of chicken meat. Price was horrendous.
Overall: Not an enjoyable expereince. Rates are a kind of a rip-ff." |

| "The bathroom is filthy with brown dirt and bluish green algae all over, and with hot water available only for 10 seconds after turning on for the first time. A technician was sent to change the alleged defect heating element but the situation did not improve and worsen with no hot water thereafter. We had to bathe in cold water for the night and the following morning. The bedroom is very run down with extremely bruised and scratched parquet floor. We were promised on the night we arrived to have our room changed on the following day, after providing feedback and complains to the duty manager, Miss Wati and the hotel staff. However, the duty manager, Miss Wati, who had promised to revert on the matter as soon as possible after we spoke with her again on the second day at 12PM failed to revert even after 4 hours! We had to go down personally to check on the issue again since no one attended to our calls. Miss Wati was also rude and obviously did not handle the situation well. Our patience and kindness was being taken for granted. We'll never ever want to stay at Colmar Tropicale again." |

| "First impressions were good, however, the front desk staff at the hotel was a bit unaccomodating, maybe due to the busy period.. The massage at the hotel is a must try... soothing and relaxing.... Overall experience is good and service though sometimes is a bit slow, but is still acceptable... Horseback riding is a good experience especially in the mountains.. will definitely recommend it to friends... " |
