"I think the hotel is perfectly located and world class. I would recommend it to anybody except for one critical thing-- even though it is located at the sea, it has NO BEACH. (Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures.) Nevertheless, I would come back for more and more.It is very close to the city for shopping and for meals."

"Generally the hotel was lovely and we had a very relaxing hoilday. The staff were universally very friendly and polite although occasionally we had difficulty ensuring they really understood our request. For example, the safe in our room was not working, and despite a number of phone calls and someone coming to look at it we were unable to get it fixed or get an explanation over the course of 4 days. The food, in particular the breakfast buffets were excellent and in general quite reasonable value but we felt the drinks (even the non alcoholic ones) were very expensive when compared with hotels of similar standard in Kota Kinabalu (eg Le Meridien - drinks almost half your price) and elsewhere. The laundry service was incredibly expensive and cost more than a professional dry cleaning service here at home in Australia. The room itself was lovely and comfortable and more than met our expectations. We had left luggage at the Pacific Sutera and it was located very quickly and efficiently upon our arrival at the Magellan and delivered to our room without delay which was terrific. The poolside staff in particular were excellent, always coming around with some little treat which really added to the relaxing indulgent feel of a holiday. Thankyou very much. "

"This hotel was fantastic. Beautiful foyer, lovely pool. They upgraded us to a Club room which was the largest hotel room we had ever seen and furnished beautifully. So much to do with having access to the Country Club and the Pacific. Great that it was so near to the harbour to get the boats out to the islands. Staff were really friendly. Shame the beach was so small but you could walk over to the Pacific where it was a little bit bigger. Great free shuttle bus into KK every hour. Couldn't fault the hotel in anyway. "

"Overall this was a lovely hotel with an excellent wandering instrumental trio who seemed able to sing any request you threw at them and to a tee, excellent for honeymooners!, and the Lobby Bar also had a good music band. I would say the thing that struck us most was the friendliness of the staff and going that little extra mile to help, eg finding me a wheelchair/t.sport to the clinic when i sprained an ankle and enquiry ea. day about my recovery. With clinic staff i wouldnt like to have had more than an ankle injury, eg i took over the bandaging from nurse (teenager Red Cross course!). "

everything is good. But if it can provide double bed as we required when we book the hotel, it will be excellent.
