this hotel has one of the worlds great views. But oh the restaurant! Poor food badly served and ages to wait. staff seem to be all trainees. Can you imagine being raked out of bed at 11 pm because you forgot to sign for that mornings breakfast? comfortable and idyllic and all so willing if only they were taught what to do.

| "The resort is a lovely place to relax and de-stress.
You wake up to the many different birdsongs all around, and the lake view was beautifully serene.
We stayed in the executive suite, which was spacious and quite well-maintained. It would have been better if there were safeboxes in the chalets.
There's a great slide in the 2-tier pool, which was an instant hit for my children, and which provided hours of fun in the sun for us.
However, there is only ONE restaurant, and being so far away from anywhere, it became rather monotonous as we had every single meal there, everyday.
We became so familiar with the menu, which was already limited, and yet had some items which were unavailable throughout our 4 nights' stay. They even ran out of eggs in the kitchen on our last day there!!
According to the manager, the pool bar was closed cos some of the equipment broke down, and the Pizzeria wasn't in operation too.
A nice resort for a retreat from urban living." |

| "Nice hotel but let down by its food quality. Food quality is quite bad compared to the price you have to pay. And you have no other choices but to eat at the hotel only restaurant.
Staffs do not know much English. Spa service is also expensive compared to other hotels of the same rating.
Room is clean and of reasonable size. At night, be prepared to share your room with other crippies crawlies because they are attracted to the room lighting.
One should not miss the boat cruise when staying at Lake Kenyir cause there isn't pretty much to do besides the cruise." |
