| "This hotel is absolutely stunning and perfect for getting away from everything. its quiet and relaxing. however we found the service very poor. we wanted to go and visit a traditional longhouse and were advised to buy a gift to give to the cheif. reception told us that when we wanted to go, come and see the tour operator and we could go. so when we did it was then that he said all tours leave at 9am so we couldnt go. the service in the restaurant was quite poor. we were told we had to eat the buffet for dinner but then found out from other diners that we didnt. staff were at times rude. make sure if you are going to take plenty of snacks and drinks as these are quite pricey once at the resort. also be sure to check your reciept when checking out as we were overcharged by RM50." |

| "The setting is beautiful, we went there two years ago but now the hotel is falling into disrepair. The return trip from Kuching cost us (2 people) 46 pounds........not cheap and once in the hotel if u want a soft drink they charge 2 pounds when u can buy @ a shop for 25 pence........... hotels always charge more but this is robbery. Food is expensive albeit good......... this is not a cheapie........ be aware and stock up on munchies. " |

| "The hotel's location is perfect with beautiful surroundings. The rooms are ok but could defenitely use a renovation. This a big difference with the Hilton in Kuching, which has much better rooms etc.
I would advise to book the hotel and the excursions to longhouses etc. seperately as this is much a better deal than booking packages. It is easy to book the excursions at the hotel. An excursion to a longhouse including an impresive travel by longboat over the river will cost you about 120 MR per person. We had a private tour (2 persons) for 240 RM. " |

| "This will only suit you if you enjoy being part of a crowd - basically it's set up for tour groups, mostly Germans, French and Italians. Huge crowds at mealtimes. Food is appalling. You're a captive audience, with no choice, and they cater to the lowest common denominator.
My husband and I went there because we wanted to get away from it all, but what you end up with is being stuck on an island, with a small pool, crap food, expensive booze, really very little to do, and large crowds.
Rooms are a good size, but do not face the beautiful lake, and have no balconies - you have no sense of being on the water. When it rains, you really don't have anywhere to sit, other than your room. It's all so very disappointing - so much potential here, but they rely on their pre-paid tour groups and really don't need to make the effort.
Don't go, it'll really annoy you. But if you DO decide to stay here, take your own food and booze!" |

| "It takes 5 hour from Kuching. This hotel do not make you feel like a "Hilton" quality at all . A budget old house, dirty and very poor maintance. Hotel is located outside National Park and one can not go to Park from here. There are many ordinary birds but no other animals within hotel area. All activities in this hotel is very expensive and not interesting at all. Hotel meal is poor too. I am sorry to stay there two nights because nothing there to enjoy. Because its Longhouse design, there are no window view facing lake. Only one local band that perform at the dining room that night meet standard." |
