| "The hotel was beautiful and service was great but I do have a complaint. We were ripped off by the taxi service, which was the hotel running hire cars driven by the porters for a fixed price (3 times the local taxi price - very simular to london prices!!)
The hotel should have ordered us an outside taxi which is exactly what the Westin did for us. I feel very unhappy about that." |

| "The Andaman was a stunning hotel for location and wildlife, if you like being secluded and in a resort. Having said that it didn't feel like a traditional resort, it had a more sophisticated edge.
We found the food and drink to be expensive. Matched to prices we pay in London! Service was excellent.
Bathrooms were really nice and spacious before the renovation planned for this year.
At first I was disappointed with the balcony but once I got used to all the wildlife I realised it was best not to have one and enjoy relaxing from the hotel bar.
We enjoyed staying here. We felt very special and absorbed all the luxuries. We're glad we only stayed for 3 nights, anymore and I think the novelty may have worn off and the expense would have been exorbiant. It is a nice luxury short stay.
The pool is a nice size but very shaded by the rainforest-understandably as you are in a rainforest but for a sun worshipper it isn't ideal.
The wildlife here is amazing.I've never been to a place where you feel like you are living within their world instead of the other way around." |

| "The Andaman Resort is a wonderful place. Both the beach and pool are lovely, the room pleasant, everything is clean. The food was delicious and a highlight there is the fabulous wave massage that they offered at the spa. As it is given outside in a hut, the sound of the waves in the background and the "waves" on your body, makes for the perfect way to relax. They have nature hikes, kayaking and you can take a half hour ride to town for the night market and dinner. All in all, it is a very quiet place and perfect if your goal is to get away and just chill out. " |

We were never able to eat when we wanted....we asked to book for 8 pm, and they would say immediately no , there is sapce at 6.45 or 9.30 and then we would insist and then finally we almost got what we wanted !!! nerve- racking, so often we had dinner out !!!! by the way , when we did have dinner at the andaman, restaurant was NOT full.

| "We were on holidays for 7 days on Langkawi in January 2007 (Pelangi Beach Resort) and visited Datai and Andaman just to see what it is. From the first minute we decided to come here for vacations next time.
To be short - if you are looking for a nice and crowdless place with good food, nice sea, perfect service, sincere
people - it is your place! If you like to walk along the white beach and to feel that you are alone - it is you place!
And if you want to keep your eyes time to time on you business (you have WI-FI in a room) - it is your place also.
We definetely will be back again!
And we are grateful for the Andaman staff
for all their efforts to make our holidays
unforgetable!

| "it was a great experience- serene-beautiful beach, great staff and fantastic lobby and swimming pool areas. truly receommended espeically if you have your own car to drive around in- it is about 40 minutes away from the main town on the island so unless you're planning to spend most of your time in the hotel- car hire would be recommeded but the hotel is very nice." |

| "This is a very well run hotel. We found the staff very friendly and always attentive and helpful. Service is first class.
Stunning beach set in a moon-shaped bay.
Not a huge amount to do if it rains heavily (and this is a rain forest!)- you will need some good books at these times." |

| "The Andaman Hotel is absolutely very good with nice restaurants (esp. the Gulai House and the Japanese restaurant we liked a lot). Although a large hotel the service and buffets are very very good and you do not get the feeling of being treated as one of many. As we stayed here as a family with 3 children (7, 12 and 13) I would certainly recommend this for families with children. The sea was a little rough when we were here (begin august 2007) so take care for the children if they prefer to go into sea instead of the large and very nicely situated swimming pool." |
