"We booked an upgrade to a deluxe room assuming it would be quite a nice room. It wasnt. It had scuff makes up the wall, the bathroom was old and dirty, no remote for the TV, a very small window looking out to the pool. So we had to upgrade to a suite. This was much better. The facilities are good around the hotel. The pool area is good and the staff were helpful but the rooms really could do with an upgrade. Definately for the budget traveller only unless you go for the suite - which surprisingly want that much more. We enjoyed our holiday but in hindsite should have gone 4 star."

"The Aseania was terrific for us. The service was great particularly Farizan who was always smiling! The resort would have been spectacular in its hey day but in reality it is a bit run down with the spots of mildew and water stains from leaks.....BUT the beds were changed everyday with clean linen, the bathroom was clean if a bit mildewed in spots and the pool is fantastic for people with children - there are even monkeys in the bush behind the pool!! Its not for everyone but if you are after a clean happy place to use as your day camp and cheap accommodation and drinks, you can't pass this up - plus its a street back from the beautiful beach! We're going back in 6 months"

"When we arrived the room was dirty. There were no towels or pillow cases. The bed was relatively clean but the sheets had not been changed for awhile. Overall the room was very dusty. The TV did not have a remote and there was no hairdryer. One night the airconditioner broke down. The breakfast was ok. nothing exciting but the food was good quality and reasonably well priced. The highlight of the hotel was definitely the swimming pool. If the hotel gets a coat of paint and a general tidy up it would be a very nice hotel."

"I stayed in this Hotel during the holidays that could be explain why it was so noisely and full. Maybe this Hotel WAS a great place to stay but now it needs some works to renew it. Breakfast was correct but it is very hard to find a seat from 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM The price is in my opinion not competitive, i found a nice looking place 100 meters away and 3 times cheaper.. I was disapointed so i went to Thailand"

"Overall Ok, but not as expected."

"The hotel was okay and great for singles or families on a budget. It is cheap and the best facility is the pool and pool bar. The nightclub is good and plays some good music. It is close to a lot of good restaurants and local facilities. The main problem with the Aseania is that it needs some serious maintenance. I have stayed there twice. The bathrooms have mould problems and the place overall is run down. In saying that it would have been a ‘Palace’ in her day. If the place was freshened up it would be amazing. Food and drinks there were good."

"this was a terrible hotel and the photos of the facilities are misleading. the pool is dirty and rarely cleaned (if at all). food is poor. the only way i would recommend this hotel is that it was extremely cheap. on the plus side the poolside barman is very friendly and chatty. due to the hotel we spent all of our time at other hotels on the island."
