The hotel was very good but anyone wanting to stay near the beach shouldn't take this hotel at it is 10 mins drive from this hotel. The hotel staff was very accomodating. My mother is a pure vegetarian. I had made special request for her food. The hotel staff made sure the food was fresh, healthy and tasty.

| "Negatives: Tooooooo far off from every tourist attraction - Everything required at least an MYR 20 one way taxi. Rooms are tooooooo spread out in the complex, mine was some 4 min. walk in a semi-lit corridoor from the entrance. Villa Rossi, the Italian restaurant was closed on most days of my 3n/4d stay. Hotel water sports & excursions were highly priced compared to the market or to a 3-star facility. Limited breakfast menu. Limited room service menu, which too was only till midnight. The hotel claims to be a beach resort, bu PLEASE NOTE IT HAS NO BEACH!! The closest is a public beach - Cenang (takes a 10 min. drive, MYR10). No place closeby to walk around, since it is in a very deserted, secluded location. The hotel room bath had a non-functional soap dispenser for bathing! PAINFUL to use. Had to make do with the coin-sized soaps provided.
Positives: Amazing views from the room/balcony. Nice port destination. Proximity to pregnant maiden islands. Secluded destination, may excite some honeymooners but without a beach." |

| "Views from room is amanzing! You can see the whole seaviews and colourful corridors. Bacony is lovely and relaxing in deluxe seaview room. The corridor is great especially at dawn and night time. Photo-shooting can't be missed. The location is ok. It's quite close to the airport and the Cenang beach area which has numbers of seafood restaurants. Not too crowded. It's isolated by a small hill which makes it quiet! There are plenty of places for carparking. One thing disappoint me is the room service. The workers are not able to speak nor listen to English. Can't believe it happens in such a big and grand hotel. But the front desks are nice.
Overall, it's worth to stay again!" |

| "situated in pictersique location we enjoyed our stay at Awana porto malai. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will revisit the hotel again. If the hotel can provide airport drop and pickup facility the same will be beneficial for travellers." |
