| "Bathroom too old for a three stars hotel, the state of the bath having to be hidden with a carpet. The breakfast is mainly chinese and not at all continental (only toast, no fresh juice). The hotel is located at the opposite of the beaches area, then you have to take a taxi to go to the beach (10 or 20 RM)." |

| "The hotel was pretty run-down, and in a not-very-nice area. Nothing really was close to the hotel, so a car is a must. The room was clean and serviceable, but a bit shabby. The toilet in the bathroom only flushed about a third of the time! But the service was great. The people working at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They were the best thing about the hotel. Overall, it was a fine experience. It was cheap, clean, and it did the job!" |

| "I stayed at Grand Con. for 3 nights, the hotel was very excellent for a 3 star.
It is centrally located in Kuah Town with jetty and langkawi fair shopping mall just 5mins drive away. The famous chenang beach is quite far from there, almost like 20mins drive.
Airport is also 20mins away. It is preferrable to rent a car in Langkawi to get around the island then to pay for taxi (ragardless of wherever u are staying).
Rooms were quite spacious and the bathroom was big enuff as well. The view from the room was amazing but unfortunately it is not a waterfront (as in not a beach-front hotel as the website says but more like a creek-front) hotel. Breakfast had a lot of variety. Room service is quite efficient. The reception people were very friendly and helpful.
If you want to book tours, it is advisable to find locals selling the tours on chenang beach as the hotel will charge 20-30 ringgits extra per person.
Overall a very good hotel to stay for budget travellers and for senior people. Not a hotel for people on honeymoon or for romantic couples." |

| "My wife & I enjoyed our stay very much, affordable price for travelers/backpackers. Also tidy, clean & safe! Great sevice with friendly staff... Our visit was during February, quite hot, but the room air conditioning worked=good for us! Grand Continental is in the city, 40minute drive from the airport. We would recommend hiring a car or scooter to get around the Island. To sum it up-good time/great stay!!!" |
