| "Extremely friendly staff, and nice surroundings, atmosphere. A well laid out resort - with two very differnet pool areas, a great spa, and the beach. Several restaraunts, all of a reasonable standard. Great for a chilled long weekend, or part of a multi stop holiday. Only downside is that there is not a great deal to do outside of the resort - but that was fine for us :-)" |

| "Fabulous, if somewhat expensive! More discount options needed, especially in the low season. June seems to be rainy season here, place half empty. Cheaper meals in the main dining area competitive with restaurants 5 minutes down the road needed. Gourmet food is available in the other resort restaurants anyway. Great place overall. Beach and swiimming just as pictured." |

| "We loved our stay here! It was great, service was incredible. There was every interest shown to us in our stay, our food, and anything else they could do to be helpful. This was good value for money and we would definitely stay here again while in Langkawi. Breakfast and other amenities were exellent. Being located in Pantai Cenang was great since we could choose to eat out locally instead of always having resort food and prices. If you stay here you will not be disappointed." |

| "An impressive hotel in terms of its size, facilities and overall ambience. Has been built with a lot of attention to detail. Te staff is most attentive and friendly. Most importantly, there is a lot to do within the hotel and can be really enjoyable, particularly for families.
The only negative that we found with the hotel was its price for meals and incidentals. Everything is over priced and a bit of a turn off. Even the convinience shop sells regular stuff with a significant mark up, which is visible." |

| "Room is large, airy, clean and comfortable. The bed is huge and cozy. The balcony is large and a relaxing place for an afternoon tea. The resort has 2 fantastic swimming pools and reasonably-priced F&B outlets. Try the BBQ restaurant at the beach!
The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are also very good with children.
If I really have to find fault, it's that the sand at the private beach is not the powdery kind that you can walk barefoot in and that the rates are a bit on the high side." |

| "The Pelangi was just what "it said on the tin" traditional Malay style village accommodation, large rooms (Superior) balcony the same size overlooking the pond/lake which was lovely.
The dark wooden interior may not be too everyone's taste but it was in keeping with the theme i.e traditional not modern.
The beach here isn't great, it has lots of shells but you can walk all the way along and find some great restaurants and get some exercise, you don't feel like you're in a resort.
Food and drink prices were more than we would expect for Malaysia but still reasonable - especially compared to Andaman where we stayed later on in the holiday.
It was nice to be able to go outside the hotel and see other things. We spent the majority of our holiday here (7 days) and ended with a short stay at The Andaman in Datai Bay (please see that review) I liked this combination as it gave us diversity and a chance to experience two sides of Langkawi.
Staff and people are very friendly and curteous. We especially liked the way they didn't wait for tips - this was a refreshing change to all other holidays we had been on where tipping can get OTT.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it ticked all the right boxes and for the price it was spot on." |
